Briggs - lists are cool and all but... WHY do you like them?

How do any of these dudes compliment the leftover Knicks that are learning to enjoy each other justas the season ends?

With that said, I'm down with Vernado. He reminds me of a young Marcus Camby in that he is still growing into his body, and has immaculate timing on contesting shots.

I just look at where we are drafting and try to find some guys who we can have a shot at who make sense to pick.

Jimmer Fredette--the best player nobody knows about---Steve Nash 2
Jamine Petersen--everyone likes Bill Walker--well this is Billy walker who can also rebound. Why not have 2 of them
Elliot Williams--we need guys who can get up and down with athleticism versatility who like to hit the open man/unselfish heady with good character
Austin freeman--a dagger 3 point shot with a powerful body/was really coming on until the unfortunate diagnosis
Varando--5 blocks a game 3 straight years with steady improvements in all other areas--is never shown up by bigger names. Id rather have Andrew Bynum butwere talking pick 37 OK by me.

If we put 1 name out there--we likely wont see it haev a chance to get to 37. Im big on Fredette--even if T Douglas becomes a quality PG--why not have 2?

Have not seen him, but the stuff I've read about him intrigues me.

You have to think that how Douglas plays the rest of the year will determine whether we take a guy like Fredette.

maybe this knicks should scout this player:

just sayin' - she's not even 6' tall....

Columbia’s Judie Lomax is rebounding machine
By DOUG FEINBERG, AP Basketball Writer
Mar 12, 9:38 am EST

NEW YORK (AP)—Judie Lomax has left an indelible mark at Columbia in two years at the school. She became the school’s first Ivy League player of the year Thursday, helping to lead the Lions to the best season in school history. Lomax is also poised to be the first player in NCAA history to lead the nation in rebounding in consecutive seasons.

Standing just under 6 feet tall, the junior tops the country with 14.2 rebounds a game—nearly 1.5 rebounds better than her nearest competitor. She led the nation last season with 14.3. Despite playing only two years at Columbia after transferring from Oregon State, she’s second on the school’s career rebounding list with 799. She’s only behind Kathy Gilbert, who had 937 rebounds in four years.

“For Judie Lomax to lead the nation in rebounding for two consecutive seasons is unprecedented,” Columbia coach Paul Nixon said. “When she did it last year, we didn’t win as many games, we didn’t play as tough a schedule. But when you look at the schedule that we’ve played, this record for her is legitimate. She has played the highest level of Division I competition.”

Lomax finished her regular season with 21 rebounds against Yale last Friday and then grabbed a school-record 27 on Saturday against Brown. That helped Columbia (18-10) finish off its first winning season since starting Division I play in 1986. The Lions finished third in the conference and are hoping for a WNIT bid, which would be the school’s first postseason experience

There could be some guys who fit well here who may slip

a guy who comes to mind is Stanley Robinson--but someone is going to slip--more than 1 guy.

but he's first:

PG Jimmer Fredette
PG/SG Elliot Williams
C/PF Jarvis Varnado
F Jamine Petersen
G Austin Freeman

Looks like Freeman is out with Diabetes unfortunately--that's just horrible to happen to such a young kid. Hopefully with good care he can come back next year and regain his form and make it to the first round. I think he would be officially eliminated from coming out this year and he was certainly a quality guy who deserved high consideration for our picks. Im replacing him with Ken Faried out of New Jersey. He While he isnt a 3 point shooting guy he is an fast undersized energy player who can come off the bench and bring energy defense and rebounding

So my new order-as long as there is no one that falls unexpectedly

1. Jimmer Freddette
2 Jamine Petersen
3 Elliot Williams
4 Jarvis Varando
5 Willie Warren

I still like the same guy but I will add in Luke Babbitt as I did not know he had any chance into the draft. Petersen did not enter

I still like Fredette--watching Pheonix tonight laments Fredette Elliot Williams and babbitt--either a PG or just plain guard who can take you off the dribble shoot it or pass

1. Jimmer Fredette
2a Luke Babbitt
2b Elliot Williams
4 Marqus Blakely
5 Dominique Jones

I like the wings better than the bigs--I think some of these wings can be immediate impact players. I dont see one big player who is better than Jordan Hill where we would pick --so I see no position in the draft open.

Id like to get 3 of these guys if we get 24
