not the case at all. His QO next year is $2.8mm which I can see us offering him. He's a really solid playmaker and very quick. Much more athletic than I thought. I was pretty impressed with his skills. 30 games is a good time to eval him. We need a PG next year, and its more likley will add one max guy and use the rest to resign Lee and build the roster (Jermaine Oneil? Camby? Sergio?)

SERGIO!!!!!!!! Man I love this kid. We exactly the same guy that was on the video clips. Great handle, keeps dribble, penetrates n probes like Nash to create for teammates, great court vision and sniper passing, quicker n more athletic than given credit for, looks to rebound, not terrible shooting and goes strong to the hole! What's not to like? Well he does tend to be flashy which could hurt us but he's vastly superior to Duhon and TD as a PG. If he keeps this up he's stayin.

It is just one game, but Sergio is light years ahead of Duhon.

I was impressed by his energy on defense and for loose balls.

if we get lebron or wad we gotta go two max.

But if we could only get one max, I'd like to see him brought back for $2 mill and tmac brought back.

Lee should only be brought back if we dont sign a max.

Last night had me dreaming of getting left at the lebron altar, signing Ray Allan, tmac and lee and taking our chances with melo.

That entire team last night was all chemistry.

Only odd ball of the group was harrington.

Sergio is for real and his style can be made awesome by dantoni.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

I saw a kid that has Nash like Skillz. He's not on that level of course but does a lot of the same things. He's a lite version IMO. We have to see if he consistently plays that way but if he does I'd keep him.

i hope for the same but i think the point i made was the complete opposite... you were completely down on Jordan Hill after 24 games yet have high expectations for S Rod after 4 years of being a backup... i guess that's the only thing i found a little curious... trust me nothing would make me happier than for S Rod to become a nice PG for us & be a longterm solution... at least then it would justify losing 1 of those picks we just gave up in all this.

he came into the league at 19...a lot of players dont get burn at the beginning of their careers and turn into something good prime example is chauncey billups.

no need to preach to me about patience when it comes to prospects... i've been preaching patience on our prospects to all the doubters for the past few years when guys were rushing to call D Lee, Wilson, Gallo & Hill busts before they even completed their rookie campaigns... this was not about me doubting Sergio, it was asking Eny why he had high hopes for a 4 year backup when he had (i mistakenly thought) lost patience with Jordan Hill.

Nash like skillz? where did u see those? all i saw was a guy being active on the floor & he made maybe 1 or 2 open J's... i didn't see any awesome passes from Sergio last nite... that 1 behind the back flash was totally unnecessary & not that impressive to me... Lee was wide open on the high post anyway... Sergio looked much closer to Steve Blake lite last night than he did Nash.

I think Russell Westbrook might be the best young PG in the game today. I really can't think of another young fella I'd rather have running my team than this kid. He's right there with Derrick Rose - very similar games. Shoot I think Westbrook might even be a little better. He's the entire package. Just my 2 cents..

i'd rather have Deron Williams than Westbrook personally... dude is a big shot maker & i think has more well rounded skills as a PG... Westbrook is a brilliant talent but he lacks a consistent outside J & not all that great of an orchestrator if u ask me.

Wasn't Duhon a career back-up PG in Chicago before we signed him a 6 mil per. Sergio, who I see as an immediate upgrade, can be had for 2.8 mil. Isn't that less then we would have paid for a PG with the 8th pick this year? Let's watch him for these next 28 games. We could be pleasently surprised.

i highly doubt Sergio will play up to the level where we can justify giving up on a #8 lottery pick, but i'll have my fingers crossed.

Respect your opinion. D-Will's a dynamite player, no question about it. Man I love Westbrook though. LOVE 'EM!!! And to think a lot of people (including me) weren't sure how good he'd be & if he was even a true PG. Well he's put those concerns to rest as far as I'm concerned. You know he's only gonna improve too. Scary! One of the toughest, quickest & most powerful PGs I've ever seen with an absolute killer edge to 'em. Dude's just an assassin out there. He plays like he wants to rip your heart out and eat it right in front of you. I love that in a player...I just love that Oklahoma City team period. They're gonna be one tough out in the playoffs..Going out on a limb right now -- The Thunder go all the way to a game 7 in the conference finals against the Lakers. If that happens, who knows man -- wouldn't surprise me if they knocked the Lakeshow out on their home floor and went to the NBA Finals. I think they're that good. We'll see what happens..

Quickly on Sergio Rodriguez -- I thought he played very well last night. Nowhere near on the same level as a guy like Westbrook, but I think he's a nice little player and a definite upgrade over Chris Duhon. His ability to be creative, take the ball inside, set up guys and push the pace is so refreshing. I'd like to get someone even better eventually as a starter, but for what Mike wants to do and how he wants to play it, this guy's worth bringing back as a backup point if the price is right and we have some room.. Probably won't be the player I once thought but he's a very exciting and entertaining point guard. I'm glad he's here.

TMS what were you looking at? He was making great passes all night and shouldve had far mire assists if our guys finished the plays. Man if you didn't see how good he was penetrating and spotting and hitting guys I don't know what to tell you. For a guy just dropped into a situation like this he was very impressive. I have to say you weren't paying attention. He made the right pass at the right time on most of his possesions.
