supposedly they now have max cap room...

I can see lots of players clamoring to sign with the Clippers...

I actually see the Clippers maxing out Rudy Gay if that's the case.

I mean, hey, it IS the Clippers after all.

If LeBron leaves without a sign-n-trade, the Cavs won't even be able to use the MLE. They may have about 4 mil in cap space though.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I don't find that valid. Jamison is a good player. He isn't a max salary, but he is an excellent piece to ad to the Cavs.

I am curious why so many people on this board put down players who are 20 and 10 performers. That isn't easy to do. Zach was considered over-rated with pumped up stats; David Lee is over rated with pumped up stats; now Jamison???? Really, give these guys some credit for being good.

zach gets more credit then jamison.. jamison gets no credit with me. i've never seen the guy hit a big shot in his life. he forced his way out of dallas because he didn't like taking a back seat to dirk and he's out just to get his stats. absolutely no credit from me.

Clips now have space to sign a max player at SF. This blows.

So now the Clips, Bulls, Heat, and Nets all have space for a max player.

Who the hell cares about the Clippers and Nets?

The Nets are a disgrace to the NBA right now. I don't care what cap space they have. No self-respecting player is signing with a 10 win team.

The Clippers are an abomination of a franchise.

They drive up the price on the other guys like Johnson, Boozer, Lee, and Gay.

Clips have a nice core and so do the Bulls.

I keep flip flopping. The 2010 outlook is too risky. The NY media is no joke and if a guy can go to a pre-built team that may be more enticing. The max is the max on whatever team they play on.

Antoine Jamison is by no means an impact player. And this absolutely has no impact on free agency.

to be fair, he has put up stats on playoff contenders... we can't say the same for D Lee... i would actually put Zach over both those guys at this point cuz he has this season proven he can make a big postive impact on a team's W-L record pretty much all by himself.

Jamison putting up stats on playoff contenders was contingent upon Arenas and Butler getting him there. I'm not saying that Jamison had nothing to do with it, but if you have that talent around you, you'll have an opportunity to put your own numbers up.

Lee has no one but himself on this Knicks team. Also, Jamison's star has certainly dimmed a little.

jamison is good. but he's 34 now. he can be a wing man to lebron because lebron is miles better than anyone else playing basketball currently. it's a good trade for the cavs for this season. i don't think it affects free agency that much.

at this point there's no way to justify that D Lee is a better player than Antawn Jamison... Jamison has played on multiple Allstar teams & has been a key cog on playoff teams & was 6th man of the year in '04... this guy is 20 & 8 over his 12 year career, not just 1 season... he is beloved down here in the DC area & no one wanted to see him traded

D Lee has been the best player on some of the worst teams in Knicks history... that's not to say Lee can't be a winning player... every player can prove themselves in the right situation like i said all along about guys like Jamal, Nate & Al Harrington... put them into a cancerous situation like in NY & u can only look bad.
