Jordan Hill was also an insurance policy in case Lee was traded or chose to leave via free agency last year or after this season... MDA likes high character guys who don't need to be babysitted or coddled, he's got no tolerance for any straw that will stir the drink.

why we chose Gallo is obviously because MDA & Walsh were familiar w/his talent & his character makeup & felt they were taking the right guy for the system & for this franchise... i don't think anyone can complain about his selection looking back now & to be fair sebstar hasn't made a single disparaging remark about either Gallo or Hill on this thread, he's just pointing out there were other factors than just simply basketball ability that determined Walsh's picks & he's right... personality & character plays a big role in why teams choose certain guys sometimes.

thanks, money.

HAHAH. What are you thanking for, seb? He's telling you why Jennings wasn't selected, and that it wasn't some kind of conspiracy.

We can disagree. Thats what this board is all about. But he understood where I was coming from and what I was trying to say which is more than I can say for a lot of you other cats in this thread.

Obsessed with finding diamonds in the rough in order to prove his genius. Didnt think much of Marcus Williams...

i think it's fair to assume there was a little of that involved too... afterall look at the chances Bender's getting here... does anyone think he'd make another NBA roster at this point? i don't.

For crying out loud Gallo's Father and Danphoney were roommates playing pro ball together in europe, that had to weigh in somewere.

I can see danphoney telling gallo's dad "hey Richey if he's around at # 6 I will draft him , I'll look out for him too , don't worry about it papa Gallanari NY is gonna love this kid he the best shooter I have ever seen".

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

But if you read my whole post I made it clear that its time to move on, so I dont know why you cats are getting all emotional about what I said.

can it just be that walsh thought gallo was better than the three you mentioned?

You know this pick had nothing to do with WALSH ! DAN THE MAN ALL THE WAY.
