The only thing I can think of that might make the season a little more interesting would be if Donnie were to fire Mike D'Antoni. This should be done in the most humiliating way possible - like you could have three or four security guards walk up to him on the sidelines in the middle of a game, and "escort" him from the building. That would be awesome.

That is about the stupidest thing I have ever seen on this forum. Just totally lame and uncalled for.

Thanks.

keep your head up jones - btw - did you check out those stock picks i sent you yet?

I certainly did. I broke out of my crying jag over Moonangie's criticism just long enough to buy 1,000 shares of STFU @ 54. Turned around and sold them for 56, netting a cool 1980.10 on the day.

Thanks man!

That was funny. I appreciate a good sense of humor.

Still, escort him from the building? He's doing his job with a ragtag bunch of rentals and a few core guys. Once he gets talent then let's judge him.

Lighten up, Moon. It was a joke/sarcasm.

Adelman(wins with no superstar or even 2nd tier player on his team plus overcame major injuries)
McMillan(nuff said about their season this year)
Jeff Bower(5-4 without Chris Paul)
Scott Skiles(some injuries to contend with but his team plays hard all the time, they might have a 2nd tier player on their team, otherwise a team full of Bums and an over saturated rookie)

You could throw in Del Negro, Larry Brown, Lionel Hollins who have managed to get their teams to perform at a very high level for longer stretches and better than what people expected of them and their teams.

It's not about wins and losses it's about how we look as a team game-to-game whether we win or lose. We should be a better team than last yr period.

I totally agree. Most of the coaches mentioned have had to adapt their style of play and have pushed their players to get the most out of them at both ends of the court. D'Antoni's tenure has been characterized by a rigid commitment to his system despite his roster. The lack of success of his teams has been attributed to a lack of talented players capable of playing his system. In addition there has been alot of self created drama because of his lack of communication and unwillingness to coach players that don't possess the character traits, and professionalism he needs for a self policed team. There is also absolutely no reason why the rookies should not be playing on a team 11 games under .500 with a roster filled with vets with expiring contracts.

Well, it wasn't entirely sarcastic. I do want to be entertained, and Isiah did a good job of that. Couldn't Donnie Walsh do something interesting, like tap his toe while using the urinal in a gas station men's room? That would give us something interesting to discuss.

why should we ask this question during a really bad stretch..perfect time to get honest opions ya think.

I'm looking at the suns game now and there's no question in my mind that if mike had an all star pg on this same roster, we would have a similar record to the hawks if not better.

With that being said, donnie did entertain some PGs, maybe some of you forgot how short this team was, how can you really knock the hill pick or the TD pick, it's still an attemp to solve two dire positions. I think some of us were expecting a little more out of the rooks' but anyone can see that there play doesn't warrant consistant minutes. Both have very low IQ's and only derserve spot minutes.

I also belive If hughs would have kept his mouth shut and handle his beef with MDA instead of running to the media and donnie walsh like a brat, he would be playing by now. It's probably a little personal by now ( nobody wants an employee going over his head) but I'm not entirely going to blame MDA,s judgment on a player who has been on 4 teams in the last 5 seasons, and bandish by his previous team all together.

Mda n donnie are trying to get it right.

Think both have done a fine job....

The Don has gotten the most cap space into the biggest FA class of ALL TIME!!

He has stayed patient .......

He drafted very well.....

And He doesnt feed into the fans and the Media......

If he can get rid of jeffries or maybe somehow get Rubio I'll give him an A +

The Coach has had a harder job....

Want to root for him so bad..... And really can't count these 2 years cause of the plan
But his love for Dudu and wanting him so Bad when he was a FA is suspect to say the least...

That being said I see why he Played the Vets and why he has stuck by them....

Have to keep their value up...... Al Lee Nate Jeffries could all be traded.... Or at least we hope so!

Will give him next year to show me something..... So far incomplete

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

What FA pg was available when we sign duhon..I can't recall many options..espesially when we already had steph and JC..

You could,t get a 2nd rnd pick for duhon at this point..and sessions looks no better then chris childs did after playing his contract year for the Nets..a back up

I can only imagine David lee playing with d will, paul or nash..that's and extra 5pg making him a 25 and 12 player..

your logic or conception of a franchise player is flawed.

a franchise player puts those numbers up with out the aid of an all star pg or a system.

if Lee really were a franchise player, he would be putting those numbers up in spite of the talent around him.

and an all star pg isn't going to get lee an extra board every game. n fact, he'd probably get one less as there would be less to have were our offense more efficient.

I don't see why Mike or Donnie would be questioned when we're still months away from actually beginning to build our future team.

Does anyone here think they were brought in to make us better last year and this year? Working with Isiah's mistakes? As a core to add to?

I sure hope not.

Donnie has put an end to the financial mistakes of Layden and Isiah and put an end to a deadly cycle. Isiah had us at 146M for crying out loud and we still only won 23 games.

Donnie and Mike are putting an end to the whining malcontent veterans that plagued us the past 8 years.

Donnie is setting the financial ground work to build a new team from scratch. While both Donnie and Mike are installing a culture of winning not whining. You whine you set or get sent away.

I think they've both done a great job and for the first time in a long time we can start to build a winning team guided by a winning no BS attitude.

I too hate the losses and the occasional Hughes, Nate or Harrington episodes of doom...but it's a whole lot tamer than it's been in years.

Why anyone would question these two guys until we're pushing into 2011 is well over my head.

Well, it wasn't entirely sarcastic. I do want to be entertained, and Isiah did a good job of that. Couldn't Donnie Walsh do something interesting, like tap his toe while using the urinal in a gas station men's room? That would give us something interesting to discuss.

I take it back. Moon, have at him.

And it's true that DJ and me don't watch the Knick games. On Knick game nights, we're out looking for hookers. Is that wrong?

as long as they get in the truck how could it be?

Oh man, how did you know there was a truck involved? It's like you're psychic or something.

Four wheel or all wheel drive?
