good luck with a 9 player deal
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Claxton & George are hardly playing for them as it is... they're just throw ins to make the dollars work... we have an open roster spot to accomodate taking on the extra player... if GS is desperate to dump Maggette's huge contract then this is a way for them to do it that would appeal to us as well... getting back Hill & Chandler for Anthony Randolph is a fair trade off if u ask me... anything they get out of Curry would be a bonus & he'd come off their books after next season along w/Fishlips... this deal saves them a ton of money... also gives Brandan Wright more minutes in their rotation

C - Biedrins / Curry / Hunter / Moore
PF - Wright / Fishlips / Hill / Turiaf
SF - Chandler / Vlad / Azabuike
SG - Ellis / Morrow
PG - Curry / Watson

that's as good if not better than what they have now & they save a ton of longterm money in the process & gain two 2nd round picks

Gallo is a shooter who's is a fan favorite, , Randolph is a superstar in the making.

Anthony Randolph went home to play the hornets tonight and already he had 8 blks in just three qtrs.

Danphoney doesn't like defense oh well, I would make that swap quickly.

Teams like what the gall does and he automatically becomes a community fan favorite in GS like chris Mullin.

NY gets a guy that plays hard every game on offense and defense !

I say..... geter done !

is that from hahn or you? sounds like you.. superstar in the making? please... this guy shows nothing that shows heis a superstar in the making..

anyway, I am with the knicks... I say no to this deal... we have enough dummies on this team.. and Randolph is a dummy!

now, I would take him for a lesser package not involving gallo....mitigate the risk.... but can't give up much for a guy who is lacking upstairs...

Anthony Randolph when playing more than 30 minutes this year

23 points 7 rebounds 3 blocks 3 steals 0 assits
17 points 13 rebounds 2 blocks 3 steals 1 assit
9 points 6 rebounds 1 block 1 steal
28 points 13 rebounds 1 block 1 steal 5 assits
15 points 9 rebounds 1 block 1 steal 5 assits
12 points 8 rebounds 8 blocks 2 steals 2 assits
-----------------------------------------------------
17.2 points 9 rebounds 2.7 blocks 2 steals 2.1 assits avg

Selecting games where a player plays more then 30 minutes has a bias. Coaches play you more when you're playing well.

Randolph has a 42% shooting percentage overall and it's the same in his 30+ minute games. He's averaging just under 16 shots per game in those games to get 17.2 pts.

Gallo averages 17.4 pts in games where he plays 30 minutes or more and does it on 12.25 shots.

Both players have a lot of potential. If Randolph has had injury problems - they both have some injury risk. Randolph is a better defender and rebounder. Gallo is a better offensive player. The knock on AR is he's a head case I have no idea if that is justified or not. I think Gallo has a good head on his shoulders and as a fan I like rooting for him so I'd stick with Gallo.

OLDFAN, Nellie has been fooling with the kids minutes, on any other team especial the knicks with danphoney his numbers would be all-star like.

Please Read posts about the Randolph being in foul trouble. It's not just Nellie. He commits a lot of fouls.

Maybe because he plays on a team that doesn't play defense. He helps out a lot and has to guard his own man.

What player on the knicks can guard and go at the other teams best player. Randolph in his second yr can guard pg, sg , sf and PF AND C in the league.

You said Nelson was jerking Randolph around. I said Randolphs minutes were effected by him being in foul trouble. His minutes are effected by him being in foul trouble.

You say there a good reason but what I said still stands he need to foul less to play more minutes.

Have you watched warrior games ? I ve seen nellie take the kid out earlier in the yr when he was playing well on numerous occassions, foul trouble had nothing to do with it. G.S fans and media noticed nellies nonsense too. He's the only guy playing defense and nellie talking about his offense go figure.

Randolph, drawing rare start, blocks eight shots

NEW ORLEANS — In just his second start of the season, second-year man Anthony Randolph gave the Warriors an immediate defensive presence inside.

Randolph started at center and finished with a career-high eight blocks in the Warriors' 108-102 loss Wednesday to the New Orleans Hornets. It was the most blocks by a Warrior since Adonal Foyle had nine against New York on Feb. 21, 2003.

Randolph's six first-quarter blocks were two off the team record for a quarter.

"I feel the (previous) couple games I did poorly on defense," said Randolph, whose previous career-high was five blocks in a game against San Antonio in March. "I kind of took it upon myself to come out here and try to control the paint and help my teammates out as much as I can when they got beat."

Randolph also had 12 points and eight rebounds but he was 5-for-14 from the field. Warriors coach Don Nelson said he recognized the eight blocks, but he couldn't help but notice the nine missed shots by Randolph.

"I thought his effort was good," Nelson said. "I wish he could've made a few more shots, because he certainly had a lot of them. I don't know why he was hesitant. Certainly nothing that we tell him. It makes it a more complicated situation than it is. It's pretty simple. When you're open, shoot. When you're not, drive. But, anyway, he's still 20 years old."

This kid has never played with pros before the NBA, Lamar odom even said this kid is going to be a ALL-PRO one day. Get away from nellie and I beleive it will come to frution.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GS fans says :“Attention NBA: be sure to check out Anthony Randolph in the next few games. We are showcasing him for a trade with Corey Maggette, whom you already know. Operators are standing by to take your call. Nelson is a complete jerk. Randolph has been treated like dirt for most of the time by the lousy bully. Why on earth can anyone think Belly is a good coach. Everybody know Randolph is one of the better players on the team.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

These numbers don't support your argument that Randolph is a superstar in the making, while Gallo is a one trick pony.

This is actually a pretty good trade....Makes too much sense to work, however.

That's okay, because the metal is magnetic. It helps Gallo jump higher when he's near the hoop.

Have to be honest: havent seen Randolph play enough to say if he is worth whatever trade. Only know that Gallo will never be included

oohah wrote:
It's not about comparing Dirk Nowitzki to Gallinari as rookies. For a player to develop into a Dirk Nowitzki-level star is simply very rare, which is MVP, perennial all-star and a hall of famer. There are a ton of players who were much better than Dirk Nowitzki as rookies who never even reached all-star status.

It is a very small chance that Gallinari becomes Dirk Nowitzki because either you are a Dirk Nowitzki or you are not.

oohah

I dont know if this is a well known fact, but Dirk has worked his A$$ off every offseason of his career. The summertime Curry (and as far as I see it, a lot of other million dollar earning NBA players) used for Playstation and Burger King, Dirk spend in the Gym. 1000 mid range shots a day for a summer, will result in a quasi unstoppable fade away...

That is the most important reason Im thinking Gallo will indeed be a really special player: He has the right mentallity to see that beeing great requires hard work. If his back hold up he will be fine because he will work to become a great player.

I dont even go at the one-trick-pony comments, whoever has really watched him play knows he is doing more than shoot 3s.

Last thing: Every time i've seen him becoming mad about a no-call/missed free throw/whatever, good things happened...

It's supports it if you know how Randolph is getting jerked around in G.S and still putting up similar numbers. If he played for any other team (with a coach playing games) You would see how dominant he could be. Gallanari is being treated like a son , Randolph being treated like a dog.

yes, I'd rather have a player that's just realizing how good he is than to get a player on the downside of their career in Dirk, or a player who thinks he's better than he is and wants to get paid like it in Bosh.

Chris Bosh is younger than Joe Johnson, and is more valuable because he is a solid big man.

the way these guys diss on Chris Bosh is pretty funny... the guy's putting up better #'s than Tim Duncan but somehow he's "overrated & overpaid"... we'd be lucky as hell to get Chris Bosh to sign here... suddenly we can pick & choose max FA's like they're all dying to come here... come on.

You know what's funny--they actually could be good players going with each other on the same team. You could move Randolph to C for us Lee to PF or vice versa with Galliari on the frontline. The problem is we dont have anything remotely close in talent to give up for Randolph. This is a scenario where we are lucky to have Gallinari instead of a DJ Augustine etc... and were also lucky that he is not a bag of broken goods which Im sure many mightve thought last year. Anyone who says Gallinari>Randolph --no brainer has to be kidding themselves and on the other side Gallinari has proven he is up there in talent as well. So instead of crying spilled milk---we are lucky that he is healthy and is a nice solid young player who should only get better. It's like saying I have 2.75$ and Im crying because you have 3.00 or which ever way that goes. My only problem with Gallo is that I hope he decides to take many less 3 and concentrate on the mid-range/driving game

RIP Crushalot😞
