at this point if that's the best we can do for Nate i'll take it... at least Reddick can provide some shooting off the bench... if MDA isn't gonna utilize Nate then any usable piece for us is better than nothing... i'd rather we just went after any scrub expiring & even a 2nd round pick if we could tho, cuz Hughes will be back soon enough.

I think they are serious about a playoff run and we already what, 2 2nd round picks. I wouldn't be surprised if Walsh doesn't get MDA another guard

probably but i'd rather accumulate assets that we can parlay to move up in the draft myself, especially when we don't own our own pick this year... would love to be able to work our assets & get at least one mid-late 1st round pick in this draft.

wouldn't that go against our cap though. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't trade of sell our picks to have more cap space to play in the FA market or even re-sign one of our curent players

With Hughes healthy you can field a line-up that goes:
6-5
6-8
6-10
6-11
6-9
with a 6-9 and 7-0 footer ready to come in off the bench. Not sure why people keep perpetuating this myth that we enjoy going small. Duhon and Douglas are really the only guys on the team that can be considered small. Most of them versatile and most of them able to play/defend multiple positions and attempt to defend. If Bender can guard some centers you have a legit line-up. You can disagree with the plan and think D'Antoni and Walsh are idiots, but unlike the Layden/Isiah eras you can actually see some semblance of a team being formulated. I think a lot of people are missing this. Even if we lose all the guys on this current roster you can see the direction this team is headed.

We can talk about it at the party

1 rookie scale contract won't make much of a difference either way... but u have a fair point i also wouldn't be surprised to see us deal off our picks so we could re-sign one of our guys... my guess is it's a good bet that J Bender will be re-signed this offseason

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
