Dumars has always got a lot of credit for being a good GM. He did some great things 5 years ago, but passing on 3 of the top 15 players in the league for a guy that's not a rotation player has to go down as the worst move in the history of basketball

I want to know ... other than goofing around in practice... why the Knicks didn't give Darko more opportunity.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i watched him in an early game and seriously thought, what the hell is this guy doing? he was playing some bizarre game out there and was contributing nothing.

He got a pass for that b/c that was the year the Pistons won the title.

I don't buy that. Melo on that detroit team would have been ridiculous.

You know I gonna spin wit it

I never saw much hunger from him. Tho I felt like he was trying to be a good team player. At some point you have to insert yourself into the action and both Gallo and Darko have had that problem IMO. Gallo tho at least does something when he gets the chance. Darko almost always passed up his shot and altogether he was merely OK when he did get aggressive.

they're trying to dump Fishlips by giving him max minutes... if u were Darko & u saw Fishlips getting minutes over u, wouldn't u be disappointed? i know i would... i think Darko can help a team & is certainly more productive than Jeffries when given minutes... not hugely better but i think he's got more skills certainly... as long as Darko's not a dick during practice & causing a disturbance i don't have a problem w/him on the bench, but i think MDA doesn't like his approach & work ethic cuz he's obviously shut himself down after seeing that he won't be getting any playing time this year, at least not until Fishlips can be traded, which isn't likely gonna happen.

I was no fan of Q, but why did we take a major piece of our roster from last year and trade him for a complete non-factor?

The Answer Man Would Bring Back Center Paul Miller and Forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili

Q. kam77 - why the Knicks didn't give Darko more opportunity?

A. Opportunity, unlike the postman, does NOT ring twice in the NBA pre season. Training camp lasts for about six days. If any player does not bring some serious heat in the first few days, that player can find himself on the outside looking in faster than you can say Little Anthony and The Imperials. Even Larry Hughes found himself working to get back in the rotation. To his credit, he did.

Q. Marv - isn't he the perfect guy to keep around for those "get in there and commit a flagrant on this guy" moments?

A. Nah, that is Eddy Curry's new role. Eddy actually contested, and blocked, a shot against the Bobcats. Amazing stuff happens.

i really think priority #1 going into the season was to dump Fishlips' contract & get him the most playing time as possible... having Q here would have bit into Fishlips' playing time, so Walsh made the deal to add some depth to the C position cuz they had no idea if Curry would be able to play or not... i think once Fishlips gets traded (big IF), we'll see Jordan Hill take his place in the rotation.
