i won't bash tkf. kvh is playing like a man, ain't no denying that. it's exceptionally gratifying for me to watch the heat get their asses romped on thier own home court. wish i could have taped everybody leaving the arena w/half the 4th qtr. left. SWEET. frank's not the answer but he's better than anything we got, & pretty solid. why he did'nt start sooner? i don't know.

gony good point ,because when west took over and hired Hubie brown, the grizz were the same team but they got much better, now that team is a solid team, Hubie and west are holding people accountable, Layden did nothing , said nothing, held no one accountable, he was scared to make moves because of all the bad moves made before either handcuffed him or scared him off other moves... I am glad he is gone and I am glad Zeke is here...

Agreed! He should get 30-35 and Ward should get the rest. Eisley should be included in a trade or bought out.

Dice looked good tonight too and it was the Heat so I must temper my excitement. But I think the Layden era Knicks would have lost this game. The team is showing passion again.
Othella did not hurt his chances of getting traded either. He played well.

Did anyone see Isiah during the game. He looked like NY was down by 20! What the hell was bugging him?

What a difference a PG makes. Williams made this whole team go today from the opening tip. He made sure the right people got the ball in the right spots; whenever he was on the floor I didn’t see almost any stupid possessions where Houston is isolated top of the key instead of the wing or Van Horn is starting his move all the way at the 3 pt line. Dice and Thomas finally got the ball deep. Anderson got the ball cutting not somewhere on the perimeter caught like a deer in the headlights. Its not just Williams directly, it’s the leadership on the floor that makes sure people do the right thing. Eisley looked baaaad. But the sad part is that as a PG, not as a 3pt shooter he is better then Ward, which just goes to show how bad Ward is. We really do need a backup PG who can run the team for 10 min a night.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

thats exactly what I've been trying to say for a month. I haven't been basing Frank Williams game on stats. I was basing it on how effective and the Knicks are with Frank running the point and how uneffective they are with Eisely. Ward at least does the little things, like today for example when he got that steal or when he takes a charge or dives for a lose ball or throws a touchdown. I swear the only reason Eisely played over ward better be because they want to see what he's got so that they can get rid of his sorry ass.

I've been very impressed with KVH's game as of late. Perhaps this resurgence has something to do with his ankle finally feeling good again. It could, of course, have something to do with FW taking away the pressure and creating space for the big men.

How quickly things change--- a few days ago I posted a comparison of Ward and FW's 2nd year stats. After just a handful of good games, the comparison is starting to go in FW's favor.

He's showing a lot of confidence on the floor now and seems to feel as if he could take it to the hole almost at will. Lo and behold, it looks like he's suddenly gained the capability of creating his own shot. On one hand, I'm a little uncertain that he's a traditional PG at this point--- he plays like a combo guard, a playmaker. The Knicks had some of their greatest success in the last decade with combo guards (Rivers, Harper, Childs)...

I wonder what Isiah Thomas is thinking regarding the PG spot. It's nice and safe carrying a 3rd PG-- but the question is who should be the guy sitting on the bench? Eisley, as usual, looking tentative on offense. The ball is moving quickly, then it hits Eisley... and he stops the flow... dribble dribble dribble.

This is the same team that most postas on here called garbage, well no trades have been made only a new GM has come on board. Chaney is still here and the team seems to be performing like I had envisioned 2 months ago. All that was were lacking was "RESPECT". Everybody seems to have the vision now with these players who are performing at a higher level. ROFL
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Initially, this is the result one can expect during shakeup in most organizations. I hope the initial results is not temporary. I'm looking for long term commitment, consistency and leadership that will sustain our team for many years to come.

BTW, please, stop finding fault in Chaney.

Playa, i posted that this team had 40 win talent several times. I still believe a good coach could get more out of them. What may be happening here is an influx of a new spirit of accountability that was severely lacking before. That may be enough. Chaney is still making poor decisions as coach. He is still not the coach to get this team to overachieve. But Isiah's presence may be enough for now. And stop piunding your chest, you supported the Chaney AND Layden regime. Now that Layden is gone, the dynamics have changed. The malaise is gone.

Some quotes from last night:

"In the back of our minds we probably are looking at our jobs, looking at accountability," said captain Allan Houston (15 points). "I can say in the front of our minds we really have to win."

But as Chaney said, "We still need help."

"When Frank penetrates, we get better shots," said Chaney, whose club shot 51 percent for the second straight night. "[Houston] gets better looks. [Van Horn] had good looks."

"He brings a different dimension to this team," said Keith Van Horn, who scored 28 points for the second time in two nights. "He is able to break guys down. We have a lot of different looks at point guard and Frank gives us a different option."

So Chaney, what the heck has taken you so long to make him the starter?

Over the last two games, Frank Williams has really stepped it up. He deserves the starter spot. He's helping get more opportunities for other players to score, and breaking down defenses like a champ. He's been a difference-maker that helps show how important it is for a team to be efficient @ the PG spot.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

How can you say that? We have an obvious all star in Eisley and you want to play a rookie? Come on! Chaney knows what he is doing. He is an excellent coach and I suggest we let him handle the substitutions and decide who starts!
