He always was, and continues to be complete crap.

I'm fine with him getting minutes if it means we get to trade him. But I want no part of keeping him, and I hope to god he's out of here soon.

There was one offensive foul on Eddy that seemed to be phantom, but the dude is a machine in that area. And TOs.

He just does not know how to recognize the double time. Opposing teams do a delayed double on him. They wait for a second after he gets the ball, he looks around for the double team, and then as soon as he goes into his move it is like he fails to realize that the doubleteams often come after you make your move (not beforehand). If he can learn to pay attention when he makes his move, he can cut down on the turnovers.

How could Eddy reduce his turnovers?
Pay attention.

That's up there with Skile's "jump" answer on rebounding!

"Eddy Curry suffered a left knee injury Tuesday in a collision with Lakers' center Andrew Bynum. Curry was unable to play the second half and is questionable for Wednesday's game against Sacramento."

Sounds like it's just a bruise

Now I know why Eddy showed this thing to the cab driver.
He was questioning it's existance...

arkrud - I really had hoped that our brief conversation would inspire you to talk basketball

I was sadly mistaken

Eddy Curry has played five games since his return from nearly a two year absence. He has been back for about one week. Whatever incremental steps any player makes after returning from that length of absence is measured in weeks, not days.

Actually, you should have been measuring has performance from his rookie season. But you constantly fail in realizing that Curry is a non impact kind of player. You keep giving break after break after break. Time for you to just call a spade a spade.

JrZyHuSt - I have no problem measuring Eddy Curry's progress against his rookie season.

In 2001-02 Eddy averaged 6.7 points and 3.8 rebounds. Curry shot 50 per cent from the field and 65.6 from the free throw line.

So far, in this small sample, Mr Curry has played 5 games.

The idea that Eddy Curry is a "non impact" player in your opinion is interesting. The moment he was inserted into his first game back, (10 points and 4 rebounds in ten minutes) the presence of the Knicks interior play changed immediately.

I am suggesting there are going to be more games to compile a reasonable sample from. While you are running around calling "spades" I would rather grant Eddy 2-3 months to learn how his new body works and enjoy the game.

The sample size is too small to say he isn't an impact player, but the first game back is a sufficient smaple to argue agains this?

Go ahead and keep waiting for him to emerge as this great player you make him out to be.

I've watched him for years now, and he's just not a good player. Weight loss or not.

Any injury with Eddy always meant he would miss a significant amount of time in the past. It will be interesting to see how quickly he gets back after this.

If used right, Curry puts pressure on the interior of other teams. Sometimes it is not a measurable figure that tells us, but anyone that knows basketball will be able to see it. Anyway, the New York Brickaknockers need anything they can get right now, so ...play him.

JrZyHuSt - I dare you to point to the spot where the word "great" was use to describe Eddy Curry. But hold up, forget Mr Curry for a moment. Put yourself in the suit of an NBA general manager... how much patience would you have for a recovering, 27 year old, 6'11 center who once averaged 19 and 7?

None because we all know he has absolutely no work ethic. He decided to lose weight because he needs money, not for the right reasons. His new conditioning has nothing to do with his desire to put others ahead of him and to place his focus towards helping this team. He has obviously demonstrated what he is capable of doing, and what he is capable of being, but he's just not interesetd. He did this to simply gain a new contract and escape bankruptcy.

"because we all know he has absolutely no work ethic."

We all know?

It would be best that you speak for yourself and yourself only. Monica Seles was stabbed during a match and she was never the same after that. Would you say she lost her "work ethic"?

JrZyHuStLa - how do you know that Eddy Curry is playing to avoid bankruptcy?

Did Marc Berman tell you?

If some scrub happeneds to be a Knick it is not obligated us to like him.
Eddy is scrub of the scrubs on NBA. He is taking somebody else place in the league.
All his value is expiring contract... next year. Now his value is -100.
Persnally I do not want to see him anywhere near the Knicks team.
And having him gone is really something to dream about, not his resurrection from bbal-dead.

A question for Eddy Curry.

What on God's green Earth have you been doing for the past 9 years ? All of a sudden you decide you need to learn from the games ?

I can't stand this lethargic piece of shyt.
