Blair might be good in the short term, but he doesn't fit this team or what we're doing, so I don't see that as a miss.

Watching Derozan and McGee play against eachother and throw in crazy dunks and fast break plays from all over, I wonder what we'd look like with both of them on the roster.

Id give wash any two knick players of their choice for Mcgee--I dont care if they wanted Gallinari and Chandler--I would do it.

I have to agree with Walsh doing a lack of homework out there. Anthony Roberson was awful, trading Tim Thomas for Larry Hughes made no sense at all. Gallo is an injury risk every time he is out on the floor, and Brook Lopez looks like a top 4 center in this league, that's not even a joke. We need defense and this guy protects the rim. This season we take another project out there that won't be ready for how many years.

Blair embarrassed Thabeet everytime they played and he was supposed to be the premiere defensive player in this draft. We don't have one player on the roster that can score in the post. Douglas looks to be a nice backup, but Mario Chalmers was on the board late last season and we could have bought a pick to get him but didn't.

Two guys that have defensive talent that can score and are athletic should be anchoring two posistions for the next ten years, but instead we are hoping talent pans out.

Everyone can say it's just a couple of preseason games, but it's not we have no plan here except cap room to spend on one guy that is going to resign with his team and then we are in the lottery again next season. Mike needs to get a rotation together and not have an offensive and defensive unit, this isn't high school basketball.

Walsh did try to buy a pick for Mario but Miami outbid him to the tune of 2 second rounders and cash. Or something like that.

Totally agree with that. McGee on a running team would be insanely good. He is the Amare clone (I know he can't shoot yet)that we could use.

We picked this year to try and get the Amare type. If we had gotten McGee last year and Derozan this year for the long, 2 guard instead of Gallo last year, that'd be a nice core.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

You have to be on drugs if you ever compare this kid to amare? on what basis. Amare didn't go to college came into the league and was dunking on people all day every day. this kid has trouble finishing around the floor and hasn't made one play that is comparable to amare let alone MGvlee who pissed on him in preaseaon.

Its hard to compare any young player to a healthy Amare because he was a 245 pd shaq --who befor e injury was easily a top 5 nba player at worst.

That being said Im super high on Mcgee. I really like him--if he was on the Knicks I think he would be an impact player by next year and a very helpful one this year.

Im sick to death that we didnt get Blair at 29---when you really take a hard look at what we have--how badly could we have used him? Toney douglas--you can find him on the waiver wire. Juan Dixon just got cut--you will get more out of Dixon than douglas for much less $$

Blair is a different story. Ultimately we just want the Knicks to do well--but they sure shoot themselves in the foot a lot.
