that was exactly the impression i got from watching him in a couple games last year... just has that deer in the headlights look all too often.

Shhhhhhhhh. Thabeet is 9'12, weighs 479 lbs of pure muscle and can hear you from Vegas. He will destroy you. While bench pressing Nate and Earl Boykins with the other hand.

I dont care how one-dimensional Almond is. We signed Anthony Roberson for one dimension.
If he scores 17 points and shoots that way thats more than we got from Roberson.

YES

His game looks exactly likely Mikki Moore's game to me. The only good thing is he looks like Mikki Moore as a rookie. It took Mikki Moore 5-6 years to develop his game to the level it is now. So there is hope. Hill definitely needs to hit the weights and add about 15 pounds of muscle and work on that jumper. He looks like he can shoot, but he still needs to take 300-500 shots a day until he can hit that 15 footer automatically. He looks like he has at least one post move. He needs to develop some more. Basically, Hill needs to work on everything and is probably 1-2 years away from us really seeing what he can do.

Both of our guys get a C+. They showed some good--they showed some bad. No other way to call it. I would give Thabeet a D Carroll a C today and Young an F. Darrell Arthur was the best player--only player who deserved an A and while Marcus wasnt nearly the same guy as the other night-did take over the 4th Q and moved to a B.

aside from the dreads they are nothing alike to me... Hill is already bigger than Moore has ever been in his NBA career & he plays a lot more of a physical style... Hill is battling in the paint, Moore is lurking off the ball looking for cheap tipins & fast break opps... nothing at all alike.

Nah, what made me think of Kenyon was his tendancy to follow the ball in the air and on the floor, and not worry about the contact on both offense and defense. Great tenacity. Agree with theGame though. If he works on his midrange he could be a real weapon on the pump-fake/drive while making them pay for backing up a la KT.

Just looking at the box score after watching the game and had a couple surprises.

Almond looked good to me today, very fluid, stayed up on his man, shot extremely well, but only had 1 rebound. Seemed much more active during the game, thought he came away with a few more.

Douglas was very impressive as well, really orchestrated the team, but seemed like he was still trying to figure out how to balance his shooting and dishing. Shot 2-13 (ouch!) but had 11 assists and 0 turnovers. And, I know it's been mentioned, great game defensively.

You know how biased you sound right now BRIGGS? Young had a better game the Thabeet and he hardly played. Thabeet got an F and MW only got interested with 3 minutes to go. Why that should bump him to a B in a SL game is beyond me.

Douglas 2-13. He handled the ball decent and ended up with 10 assists but he didn't look to good creating separation for his shots and marcus williams even blocked his pull up. Oh well its only the SL's. On to game 2

i think he does carry some of that edge to him that Kenyon does as well... we need some dawg on this team.
