Chandler too? no way i'm throwing in Chandler in that mix also... for Chandler & Mobley i'd be asking for the #2 & Darko straight up & hold onto my #8 & #28 picks.

Maybe that is too much, we could keep the 28. But your deal wouldn't get done, we have to give up something man. The 2 is worth more than swapping Darko for Chandler and some cash.

i agree the 2 has a lotta value but so does Chandler dude... he's about equatable to a top 5 pick if u ask me, which means ur giving up a #5 & a ton of salary savings for a #2 & a player they're looking to dump... i think it's a fair trade off myself... i wouldn't include a #8 in that deal... either the #8 & 28 w/Mobley or Chandler, not both.

Darko isn't a good player at this point but he's young enough and shown enough to make him a worthwile project for a year. At the cost of QRich its a slam dunk. He can block shots- thats job 1...what he can give you on top of that will be gravy, but we need the size.

Darko has that strange Christian Bale quality about him! some mouth on this kid!

Darko can shoot from the outside very well, block shots, and rebound ok. Low post is weak for him.

He has much greater potential in the MDA way than with most teams and coaches. Small moves with players gaining value with a new system is not the star phuch most fans want but the reality is Darko at only 24 years old is better than any big we can draft. Thabeet is not in our reach and can be a bust. Darko has tangable qualities the could be perfect for MDA's system.

In light of that if he can fill 2/3 of Dlees numbers and it gets us Rubio or curry in a Dlee type trade then Darko is a very good trade.

Thought the same after watching that "interview".

The thing that concerns me about Darko is that he is a project. How many players are we going to take that "need a couple years" or are "projects." How many have we seen come through here and turn into nothing?

I am not saying I don't like the idea of getting him and seeing if he can contribute, but the reality is when someone has been in the league as long as he has and has not produced much, they rarely turn it around. Can anyone name some players who have had starts like him and went on to become something? Or are we just looking for a few blocked shots, a couple rebounds, and the occasional point or two?

IM not selling you on the kid, but it "COULD" all come together for him. Contract year, 5 years in the league, and maybe the right system could unlock his potential.

Walsh in hind sight could have resigned David lee last year on the cheap but who could have thought he would turn into mr. double double in MDA system and that Eddy would be so pitiful and Zbo actually exiled creating a great opportunity for him.

I'd rather have Darko and Rubio then Lee and the 8 pick (Gerald Henderson?). Darko is not our savior, but a stop gap replacement for DLee if we have to move him.

I think If Memphis goes Thabeet then Okla wants a guard in Harden, but is Dlee and Henderson a better fit for them. I think the deal for Darko is done either way if Memphis goes Thabeet. Question is can we do business with OKLA.
