I love it. None of the arm-chair GM had Rondo in their radar in 2006...and we all bash Zeke for not drafting him.

Knicks1248. he was a crappy GM, but drafting was his thing. Maybe some you guys need to look at some of the past draft and see some of the busts, and players that have gotten past over, that other GM's have made.

Geez, arguing over this guy is ridiculous. Like every GM he has had some stinker draft picks. To me, that's fine. It happens and is impossible to avoid. He's also had some very good draft picks as well. I personally believe that he is a very good talent evaluator.

That being said, he still made us the laughinstock of the sports world, so who cares if we think Balkman or collins or Chandler or Lee or Nate were good draft picks or not.

What else is there to talk about other than weak, bogus rumors?...now that the draft is hours away, we should have more substantial topics.

Good point

That's a good idea. I might start a thread on that one.

Very untrue. Bip is on record as saying that Isiah should be going for a third draft pick and use all three on PG's. We were in such need of a future PG that I said I don't care if they all stink, he should still draft 3 pg's and hope he finds a great player in that group. I consistently mentioned Marcus Williams and Rondo as my top two choices. That being said, it doesn't matter if any of the armchair drafters had him or not. We weren't drafting. Isiah was. And he missed him and instead drafted two guys that he relegated to the bench on one of the worst teams in the league.

You just, for some reason, reminded me of this interview that always made me want to stab myself in the temple.

If you did, then kudos on you brother. I've been following Kentucky since the J.Mashburn days and I would have never guessed Rondo to turn into the player he is today.

I never thought he'd turn into what he is now. My genius actually had Marcus Williams rated higher. I still thought he was going to be a good pro and actually remember discussing with a few guys about drafting him.
