man, you're too emotional about Howard, TMS. He's putting up David Lee type numbers against the Celtics overall. And he's playing against Kendrick Perkins and Baby davis

i'm not getting emotional just don't get this stuff about Dwight not being dominant is all... numbers like Dwight puts up look pretty dominant to me... anyway, David Lee type numbers? you've got to be kidding me... since when has David Lee averaged 3 blocked shots per game & been a defensive intimidator downlow? since when has David Lee anchored his team almost all the way to reach the Eastern Conference Finals?

Big Baby Davis is having success because he can hit a perimeter J & being guarded by Rashard Lewis or Hedo half the time... Kendrick Perkins? last time i checked he's been getting severely outproduced by Dwight in this series in the form of 7 more points & 6 more rebounds per game... Howard is averaging 17, 17 & almost 2.5 blocks per game this series on 55% shooting... those are pretty dominant numbers if u ask me... maybe not in the Shaq mold but like i said before, it's sorta unfair to be comparing this guy to 1 of the greats of alltime... he doesn't have to be an NBA legend to qualify as being dominant at his position... tell me 1 other C in the NBA you'd rather have than him & that includes Tim Duncan right now... a 23 year old kid w/Dwight's talent & ability doesn't come around all that often... right now i'd rank him as the top C in the NBA & easily top 10 in the NBA overall.

I mean lee could of had the same 20/20.

well so what? D Lee wouldn't have 1 iota of the impact on defense that Dwight has on a nightly basis... any team anchored by Lee at C will never make it to the playoffs, i'll tell u that right now w/o hesitation... are u guys smokin' crack or something w/these Dwight & D Lee comparisons? i mean seriously.

no one is compare lee to howard here, it's obvious that howard is maybe twice the player that lee is. but his numbers, points and rebounds, against the crippled celtics aren't out of lee's reach. howard has a loooong way to go before he can be that dominant guy, the go-to franchise player...he has many weaknesses, too many for the caliber player that HE THINKS he is. and that's the problem..he thinks he's something he's not. probably the superman stunts and slam dunks get to his head.

Absolutely agree, if he had to go up against the likes of Shaq, Ewings, Zo, Hakeem, Robinson,Malone, Barkley on a night to night basis, he would be consider a good or very good player, but i seriously doubt he would even be considered an all star.

lol... that's like saying if Evan Longoria had to go up against the likes of Spahn, Koufax, Ryan & Clemens on a regular basis he might not be considered an all star either.
