How does he know? how about the fact that Gallinari had to do such rigorous activity just to get ready for a game and ride the bike to stay loose during games? How about the fact that Gallinari himself said "The pain is still there but I'm going to try and play though it. It's not going away but I think it's something I'll have to play though."? Do these things not count or are they eliminated to support your theory?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

So that equates to 70 percent? Players deal with pain all the time and they suck it up and still play a ton of minutes.

But if he really was that hurt, why would Walsh, D'antoni and the medical staff let him play?

This organization is still being run by morons.

I'm glad you have put Walsh down at the level of Isiah Thomas. I guess now you have found your new whipping boy. Congrats.

I don't know why they let him play. They probably figured it would go away? Don't ask me. It was a stupid decision but then again if he missed the entire season you would still be complaining about this guy being a soft bust so there really is no point.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Anyone see him interviewed a minute ago during the Clipps game?

Doctors told him it would be a simple surgery.
Said he's probably leaning towards it.
No decision has been made.
Trautwig, "Ever think, hey, lets just do this. Get it over with."

Gallo's face...was not too encouraging. He said he doesn't know. He said "they are still talking." and "we'll see."

So, well, yeah....he still doesn't want it. I can't blame him except he's a pro athlete making millions to be available on the court. He's not some middle aged guy sitting in a barco-lounger! He has the responsibility to be healthy. If that means surgery then he has to get it or he has to retire. Stringing us along is unprofessional and irritating.

I saw that too. I thought the surgery was a done deal. I don't get what is going on. Do they still think that rest over the summer will be the answer. That's basically where they were last year. "We learn from history that we learn nothing from history" - George Bernard Shaw

Gallinari is a big *****. Be a man and go under the knife. There's nothing to talk about other than who you want doing the surgery but that doesn't sound like that's what causing the holdup.

What if the injury gets worst because you play with it?

I had a rotator cuff issue (got it while practicing with our heavyweight,) but did not go to a doctor because I thought I knew my own body and did not think it serious enough. I took a few days off from practice, and then "sucked it up" and practiced with another wrestler. The result was an injury that affected my life for about 3 or 4 months.

Obviously the Knicks med staff made some kind of miscalculation on the injury, and they did it twice, because he probably should not have been allowed to play those 1 or 2 games at the beginning of the season.

Have you ever been a participant on a team and had a significant injury? Just wondering.

By the way, I would be fearful of the knife too. You can get all the assurance you want from doctors, but the idea of any operation on your back, however "minor" or non-invasive, would make me think twice.

Oh come on! The guy was playing in obvious pain and he's soft? I don't blame him for hesitating to have an operation ok his SPINE! They're not removing a wart. Any time they go into your spine a start messing around there's risk. He needs to get as much info about that as possible and make a decision he's comfortable with.

Hesitating to have an operation is smart not soft. That being said the soft label does fit Gallo at this point. He is frail for his size by NBA standards and may remain that way. He has a tendency to hang out on the corners instead of driving. He has never (even in Europe) been a good rebounder despite his height. He is not a good defender. He has a good outside shot.
