I was just saying on another thread that maybe it's a good thing that Lee didn't make the All-Star team this year. He's in the midst of a new contract and that bid would have up'd his stock even further, and he could have asked for more. I don't think it's the do all to make the all star team, but it certainly would have helped his case, if he is in fact looking for a banaza.
I'll never trust this' team again.

wow, Al Jefferson didn't get in? he's having a monster season at 23 & 11... that's nuts... he easily deserves to get in over Shaq, it's not even a contest.

Only retarded Knicks fans would think that Lee deserved to be an All Star, especially over Bosh or Garnett.

Al Jefferson got robbed though. He should be there over Shaq and David West.

I laugh at the people who say that the Wolves didn't give up anything in the KG deal.

i seriously cannot stand this whole Allstar voting process... when guys like Grant Hill & Shaq get voted in during previous seasons where they barely even play a game in the 1st half, it becomes a farse... Shaq's having a surprisingly good season but come on, how do u deprive Al Jefferson after the season he's been having? getting in on reputation is just plain wrong... it should be the guys who deserve to get in... yeah, i know that's what the All NBA team is for, but still... players don't get to enjoy the recognition from their peers the way they do when they get voted in as Allstars.

That reminds me. KG left Minny because they would not (could not) build anything around KG to have a chance. This is what could' happen if Lebron doesn't get what he wants in Cleve-it-to-beaver.

I am talking about this year not last year. KG was worthy last year but is not worthy of a starting nod this year. Paul Pierce had a bigger impact on that team this year than KG. If you think Garnett is playing the same way this year compared to last year than you are watching those Boston games. The All Star game shouldn't be about a lifetime achievement award, it should reflect what you are doing in the current year. BTW, I wasn't making a case for Lee over KG. I am making case that KG isn't worthy to get voted in by fans this season.

Lebron already did more for his franchise than Garnett. Lebron took a bunch of rejects to the NBA finals without the fan fare to go with it and Pierce and Allen to cover his ass. Garnett was just laboring in Minny after Spree was insulted about not getting his money.

Oops, my bad. Changed it.

In my defense, it's annoying typing on an iPhone. Hard to keep a thought straight when you're finger pecking.

Great excuse. Why didn't I think of using that one? Hmmm.

Yep straight high comedy. What they got from the trade of value

They got a 20/10 stud who may be the best low post scorer in Al Jefferson

They got their 2008 first rounder back from Boston. It could have been Mayo but they chose to go with Love not bad

They have the Celtics 2009 first rounder

They got Sebastian Telfair

They got Ryan Gomes

They got essentially an expiring contract in Theo Ratliff

Al, Bassy, Love, Gomes all playing significant minutes helping them become a very respectable team now.

Weird. Why does it look like the words 'They' are bending upwards? Must be an optical illusion.

yup, the timberwolves were able to maintain irrelevance the and the celtics won at least one ring. i think al jeff is a young ZBO, which is not bad, but nowhere near a KG even if people do scoff at his 16 and 9 this year.

Al Jeff blocks shots, something ZBo doesn't do... T Wolves also got multiple picks in the deal as well... i don't see how u can say they got the raw end of that deal... both teams made out well for what they were looking to accomplish... T Wolves wanted to rebuild w/youth & Boston wanted a franchise player to help bring them a title.

Al Jefferson needs that Paul, Williams, Kidd, Nash type of PG in his life. When he gets that he is going to start winning games.

Jefferson isn't the type of guy that will make carry a team on his back and make everyone around him better by running the offense through him. He takes 19.3 shots and averages 1.5ast.

BTW what happend to Mike Miller?

McHale's biggest mistake may have been not finding the right coach for the team he assembled. Interesting he's getting good results view from the bench.

His biggest by far was arranging that deal with Joe Smith....think bout it they lost like what 5 draft picks i think though 2 were give back IIRC and for wad??? A slimmer Mo Taylor??? Imagine what a force the T-Wolves would have been if they could keep their picks.....

Papabear Says

Lee is a good player but no way in all star calebar. Teams are still really not paying attention to David Lee and I'm talking about the players. When other team players take Lee as serious as they do Bosh or Shaq and knowing where he is at on the court at all times you will see his numbers drop when they start boxing him out and when he holds that ball waist high and snatch it on him because it haven't sunk in that he can really hurt them.
David Lee is worth maybe 7 - 8 million per year and if we pay more, we are over paying.
