Sebstar, I don't know you but are you F'in kidding me? Did you ever graduate high school? Junior High? What an ignorant statement.

You know what. You're too slow. Yeah, you pissed me off. Trying to punk me out and insult my intelligence just because you disagree with something I wrote. Bytchmade.

What specifically caused the injury? Is this something they knew about before they drafted him, or is he damaged goods. He got bumped in a preseason game and we have hardly seen him since.

Why the hell do you think there are so many flops in the NBA? It’s not because of talent, more often than not. Its because the NBA is a man's league and people just don’t want to deal with the rigueur and ungodly physical demands of the league night in and night out for 82 games. Some players just get all the money they can and dip. It happens more than you think, but because the media has pushed this lazy, primadonna, stereotype of NBA players people think the NBA is a glorified YMCA pick up game.

^ sebstar , you have obviously never had a back injury.

I just want answers about Gallo. Specific answers. This is not about me.

Anyone else catch the humor in that post?

I'm not going to come in here with my war stories, we've all had injuries. I just want answers about Gallo. Specific answers. This is not about me.

he took Cortisone shots a while back and is on an 8 week program or whatever. He was targeted for late January full time practice.

A lot of players take Cortisone shots to play in a game that night so I'm not falling over on my chair. And we have heard a lot of lip service about him "getting ready" for practices for awhile now. I'm up to my limit with this.

David Lee could barely walk on his foot two months ago--you could see him laboring--did he stop playing??

[Edited by - BRIGGS on 01-07-2009 1:14 PM]
1) was playing him good management?
2) was playing him good for David Lee? Did it help his development?
3) did playing him help us win games?
4) did Lee have a slow start and a benching and show slowness because of a lingering injury?

This just sounds like impatient fans that want immediate results with everything. OMG Gordon scored 30 points why didnt we get him?!?!?

We can do this every week. Lets see Gallo play and see. Team was sucking with or without Gallo or Eric Gordon.

Obviously you didn't find it as funny as I did.

What I've gleaned from your conversations so far is that you are angry at the Knicks for not telling you everything that YOU need and deserve to know. Therefore you will assume he is a *****e until you hear otherwise........It's possible he's a *****e. It's possible he's not. Why get all bent out of shape when you don't know the answer? Do you often assume the worst and pisse yourself off everytime you don't know the answer to something?

I can tell you I was mad at the way David played early in the year until the Memphis game. What he was waiting on was a cortisone shot for his ankle and you need two or three days off and he didnt want to miss any games. They decided not to that and they did some other treatment and him losing 14 pounds I think was the reason it quit bothering him.

Yep. That about covers it. I'm not going to frame Gallo into the global context of human suffering and struggle --- but I will say this. They are paying him and exorbitant amount of money to play basketball. This is part of that price tag and comparing him with other players and their physical conditions --- its not adding up. You haven’t totally dismissed my point, so its not as if I am coming completely from left field in your eyes.

I want to know why he's not playing. If that makes it "all about me" so be it.

Briggs with the genius again. He compares Lee and bone spurs in his ankle to Gallinari and his back condition. First off Lee could walk, that's why he was STILL PLAYING with his injury. It wasn't that serious or else he would have been on the sideline. And iron man Lee has sat out a game due to the flu. If Gallinari did this he would be lambasted on here. Bottom line is a back problem is one of the worst to have. Bip mentioned why but I also don't agree with his reasoning. It IS because it's one of the most painful. You cannot move your upper body without feeling pain, run without feeling pain, make any movement without feeling pain. The spine is a very tender part of the body and must be treated with caution. You people are not doctors and neither am I but at least get educated on some things before you call "fake injury."
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

He's recovering from a back injury. Does that help?

most all of the contracts in the NBA are guaranteed, so that ain't a special reason just to play. I don't know, maybe POR should have played Oden 6 months after his knee surgery, you know, cause of his guaranteed $3+M he was making.

It's nothing personal nor am I even remotely emotional. I am gonna call you out on some waaaayyyy irrational logic.

Besides disagreeing with what you said it just didn't make sense from a medical standpoint. He has a back problem and you are telling him to be a man and play through it. And then call him a puss if he doesn't play? You call that an educated statement? No way did you graduate magna cum unless its some community college. If its from a real college then you plagerized and cheated through. Again you make no sense in this post. In one part you call the NBA a "mans league" but then site the reason is the number of flops. Real men wouldn't flop. You just don't make sense. Try to make reasonable points that people can follow.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I don't know why we're wasting time discussing Gallinari. He's got a bad back at 19. He got injured after what - one summer league game? That's not a good sign. Of course Bip can have a bad back because he's 83 years old. But Gallinari is 19. At this point, I don't have much hope that' he'll ever contribute much.

I haven't totally dismissed what you are saying because I beleive in keeping an open mind. When I don't know the answer to something I don't lean toward one side and then assume the worst or the best. He could be a pansy. You are correct. He really could be. he could be a bust of all busts. He also could be legitimately hurt. His back pain may linger and he never plays again. His back also could heal and he's ready to go next year. He could be a stud. He could be a bust. He could be somewhere in between. Have an open mind.

Have you ever had true back pain? For a month I was bed ridden. For 2 more months I could walk very gingerly but couldn't lift a piece of paper. For 6 months I could walk fine, and live my daily life, but could not exert myself at all, without the most excruciating pain you have ever seen. Over a year later I can now play basketball and do the things I did before. but my back is still not the same. If you had handed me 12 billion dollars it would not have gotten me on the court quicker. An injury is an injury. We just tend to beleive someone with a torn anterior cruciate or a shattered femur. We don't believe the guy with the bad back and always assume the guy is faking.

give it time. Time will tell us if he is a pansy or not.
