When Aaron Brooks has a more meaningful impact in a game then Nate. It's time to move on.

Nate is not the problem. Nate is not in the starting lineup. At least he is always ready to play. I know he has his flaws.

3/28 from the 3pt line in his last 5 games and about 31% for the year.

Nate is quck enough to penetrate from the 3pt line and look for a pass or a midrange shot, but rarely does so. I would love to see a breakdown of his missed shots and see how many are 3's, drives, or midrange shots.

The entire team has to stop settling for 3's all the time, and work for some higher % shots, especially when the 3's are not falling. I can't believe MDA is happy with shot selection on this team.

We need someone to set picks, and we need someone with a legit post game who can pass out of the hole for an attempt at shorter range jumpshots.

I think of the times when Nate has been effective this year (The % of games that this is true is shrinking, unfortunately.), and I still like to believe that he can get back to playing like that if he uses his head and plays under control.

At what point do the Knicks get fed up with this Midget? He's in more than just a shooting slump. He looks like he's learning to play the game for the first time.

No one knows what to make of it. Ever since his injury he's turned into crap. The injury does not explain the mental side of things yet that is when it occurred.

Yet, he seems to have regressed two years in mental capacity, and is just chucking and making stupid decisions. I don't know. I'm tired of it though as everyone is.

This slump keeps up he won't even be a trade chip to get rid of Jeffries or Currys 2011 contracts.

Throwing in the timing of his injury doesn't cut it. You can look at his Game Log and see his injury has nothing to do with his slump. Nate came back December 13th.

I'm not even talking about his ability to make buckets but as you stated his mental decisions. He looks like a little kid who was invited to play with the Knicks for this month. We can't keep going through this with this guy especially after contemplating paying him, then there would be no incentive for him to fix his constant mishaps.

Actually the first 5 games after his injury he looked like an all-star. After that West cost trip, he went into a deep slump.

Everyone did for that 6 game losing streak. Nate for whatever reason never came out of it. Chandler slowly did. Harrington did well half way alternating between stinkers and gems... Dunno...

Just trying to find a point in time where he took the dump. Seemed to be after the injury but as pointed out he was good for a few games after it...but then took the dump.

Not sure why he has and why he can't fight out of it.

Not looking to make any excuses but....maybe he's not 100%? He's kind of a fighter that way. So you never know.

The kid has all the heart, he plays both sides of the ball, he loves to play the game, hates to lose, likes to improve ---- yet he's been trash for quite some time. Still sounds like a situation you'd like to give a bit more time? I don't know. I'm split on Nate these days.

Mister Dynamite

Nate is learning how to get his jumpshot off inside the three point line. This is a significant alteration if he can also keep his head up. This is not saying he is any less a stick of dynamite (that can blow up in your hand from trime to time causing sever injury) but watching how he impacts a game from the pine is not only intruguing and extremely dangerous

but, from time to time, entertaining as hell

nate robinson is 24 years old. he's basically still a kid in this league and has shown flashes of dominance. why get rid of a player like that?

15.4 pts, 4 rebs, 3.6 asts (only 1.7 to's), 1.5 stls and shooting 43.5%

isn't he the type of player you keep and try to coach? it's not like he is or will break the bank for them.

Yep. They are comparable. Also, Could you imagine if the net was prevelant during the 90s era. Everyone would have been grabbing for their pitchforks and demanding a trade with every Starks shooting slump. History is a lot kinder to him.

Uh...no. Anything below 38-39% from downtown is pretty bad.

The NBA league averages over the past 3 years: 35.8%, 35.8%, 35.6%. So it's actually well below average.

Q. cooch - Ok is it safe to say that nate is the starks of this era in Knicks bball?

A. sebstar has it nailed. History is a lot kinder to Starks, especially in the afterglow of affection he demonstrated for the Knicks after he was gone.

Here's to Nate donating a baseline two handed, poster-ready-for-framing dunk over a first round opponent.

Then sprinting to center-court to kiss the Knicks logo as he gets back on defense.

Nate is the perfect sixth man: brings lots of energy off the bench, lots of scoring and sometimes has the poise of a go-to guy. At the right price he is a keeper off the bench.

Ok then let's trade him and I know some of you guys (not all) who don't like N8 no matter how hard he plays. You would rather see him gone and don't care if you get nothing in return. All I can say is that he plays his heart out every game. Some guys have to be emotional to get thier game going. One thing that I can assure you of is that N8 will have many takers who will want him and he will expand in this league. Everyone is so over board about Gilliani. Some like him and some don't. Give these guys time to gel. One thing I know for sure and thats if it wasn't for N8 probably about 7 games would be in the lost colum.
