David could barely walk at the first of the season because of his ankle and was still getting 10 and 8. Funny he get healthy and gets to play minutes and things happen.

Lee is a decent player if you are into players who are defensive liabilities. The knicks need to keep him though but I wouldn't give him to much money. 5 year 30 million should be sufficient. But if I can trade him and say get Anthony Randolph for him right now I would do the deal. Knowing that Randolph will still be in his rookie contract in 2010 is vital to signing big time free agents. See if the Knicks can get a pick out of the deal too.

I think we had a real ability to get Branden Wright who wouldve been perfect in this offense when he was cast aside--I think Belinelli and Wright were *ripe* for the picking. If Don Nelson was looking for a more mature team we couldve offered Duhon or Lee or both in a package for their youth. At the end of the day the SMARTEST business plan wouldve been to acquire SALARY restricted players with high potential IF we were going to give up the season and try to tank for the best possible lottery spot. Now can we get Randolph and are we willing to be patient with him?

The salary cap will go down in the next 2 years--it will give us smaller leeway to get Lebron while attempting to pay Duhon Nate Le and Harrington because we have 25mm on the books not counting a new draft pick. If we pick up Lee for 9 and Nate for 7 that means were at 41-42mm and Lebrons salary slot is 17mm for 2010. Harrington and Duhon are long gone so why not trade them now when we can get something for them --the Knicks are going to have to choose 2 out of the 4 players. Personally I would do what it takes within reason to keep Lee and Nate--Im open for the best deal for Duhon right now and Harrington Tim Thomas at the deadline.

If the salary cap comes down, it will come down for all teams, and the contracts players (esp middle tier players like Nate and Lee) can expect from other teams will also come down.

Hey Briggs when someone gives Lee 65million, I'll laugh my ass off at them.

if Lee is not w/this team next year u can bet that Wilson Chandler & Al Harrington will be playing more in the low post, both are able scorers down there as well... the loss of David Lee is not going to scare Donnie Walsh away from his larger goal in 2010.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
