We are playing up to the Spurs' pace, therefore making it such a painful game. D'Antoni needs to find a way to establish his game. Any run the Knicks can make can blow this game open easily.

definitely, but this is where we lack a true engine for D'Antoni's offense and it shows. we need a guy who can force the pace when the other team tries to impose their own pace. someone like Nash or Mayo, etc.

I don't know about Mayo. He certainly has the speed and is a great scorer, but not so much the playmaker this offense needs out of its point guard.

Chandler's M.I.A.!

Craw and maybe Q are going to have to pull us out with some threes.

I'm glad Lee's showing some life.

We're lucky Tony Parker is injured. He's the difference for the Spurs, but I'll take a win anyway we can.

You said it. He looks much better tonight. A lot more lively...

Plus he's turnover prone.
I'll never trust this' team again.

he's not a playmaker yet, but i think he can be. at least on the pick and roll.

fine, Derrick Rose then. or Ricky Rubio. we just need someone who can impose a pace on a game with the ball in their hands to make this offense really work. when we play the tough defensive teams this season, its gonna look sluggish.

3 fouls on Duncan early in the 3rd. that could be big.

Gimme Derrick Rose any day! I wanted the Knicks to get lucky with the lottery and draft him. Grrrrr, that would've been perfect...

Or his shot's just not going down. Two offensive boards from the shortest guy on the court. But I'm not watching the game - only got the box score.

i agree. i prayed for rose. it seemed like utter irony that chicago got the no.1 pick the one year we weren't paying attention to their pick (after we'd been praying they didn't get a no.1 pick out of the Curry trade)

They confuse slogging with sucking. Come on, it should be them scoring 14 points first, not the other way. Agrr, this game...

I disagree. The Knicks lack ball penetration by guards. Their young SF is playing the center position. When you play stronger teams that won't allow you to play your fast pace system, this is what happens. That's why we can talk about D'Antoni 7 secs or less but normally against the Spurs, the only chance that team had was Nash and Amare scoring 30+ in a half court set.
I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni
