I like Q starting if he's playing well and Chandler and JJskinny coming off the bench.

Funny thing is we need guards. Duhon is stop gap, Nate is great off the bench and I like Crawford but I am not sold on him at all.

Chandler has a ways to go, but right now I think he's great off the bench at the 3/4 for 25 minutes a night
When he's so much better than the other 3s, why would you want him getting only 25 mpg?

I agree with this he is the best player on the team as of now. He needs Prime time minutes. 30-35 minutes a night. D'Antoni shouldn't hold him back rom reaching his greatness.

I think Chandler will be fine. He may not start today, but at some point in the season if he continues his current play he will be starting. I'm of the same beleif that I was when Larry Brown was here. Good attitude veterans get positions by default. At that point it is up to the young guys to not simply earn the starting job, but to seize it. Make it so that there is no doubt. When that occurs Chandler will be starting, and I'm pretty sure that it will. At this point he is outplaying Q.

Q is in trouble! He just hasn't been impressive at all and with his recent history that's a problem. I do believe MDA will be patient and give him some respect as a get but eventually he'll be forced to make the move. Chan is talented, young and strong. I'm sure MDA sees how much better Chan is. MDA could also be making sure Chan stays hungry by making him wait and earn the starting spot. With a young guy that makes sense.

Great post and I agree 100%. Sometimes you have to make the young guys work juuuuuuuust a little bit harder. It teaches them early that nothing will be handed to them. Many veteran coaches do this. It may not happen on the time frame of the fans, but based on what we've seen so far, Chandler is taking that position

Make no mistake, MDA and Walsh are ecstatic about the potential of Chan. He's got all the athletic ability and skills to be a star in this league. Once he realizes that no one can stop him if he presses the issue, this guy is gonna take it to the next level. Still you have to manage the guy the right way and not coddle him. You do like they used to do to Mike Tyson, before he got all puffed up with pride and stopped working hard, you keep him punching slabs of meat in the freezer. You make him feel like he hasn't arrived and needs to claw, fight and eat raw meat just to make it.

And I think by holding him back and maybe at times making him feel that life is a bit unfair may be enough to motivate him to "press the issue". All the great players are motivated by any perceived slighting. If Chandler is not the player we hope than he will settle intot he backup role and then we can move on. But I think he will take this position before too long.

LOL, I know you agree with that philosophy. Your boy Brown loves it. Funny though why come that isn't an issue with D'Antoni when the press and many posters on this site attack Brown and Thomas for using the same tatics with Lee, Frye and Nate. Weren't they accused of playing guys because of their veteran status and contract size. I happen to disagree with that philosophy but it's nice to see consistent posting.

Yeah, I'm okay with someone disagreeing with the philosophy. Coaches use both tactics and both have been proven to work. But mark my words if the press sees an opening to cause controversy they will jump on it. The first big game that Chandler has people will be hopping all over D'Antoni. Don't worry about it. It is written.

Asked about the blocked shot, Garnett said: “I’ll remember that. Don’t think I won’t make a mental note of that. We play them again. I wasn’t happy about it. I should have taken my time.”

Hey Eny, I hope this impresses you. Chandler is on KG's mind. KG was visibly mad after the block, got scored on by Wilson and tried to answer but Chandler forced him into a traveling violation.

That stretch against KG said more about Chan than it did about KG. It showed that he isn't the least bit intimidated and that he has the Grapes to stand up to an All Star and play him tough. You really want to see that type of gusto from your young players. Chan has all kinds of physical talent, it's totally up to him how good he becomes. There's no reason he can't eventually reach an All Star level himself.

Chandler is developing his game quickly and should become the starting 3 this year. In a year or two, he could be an all star caliber player. The Knicks have needed players who do a number of things well and Chandler fills that need.

Cool a picture of picture of Chandler and Breen. You know Houston wasn't available for the photo shoot.

That has to be the ultimate example of opposites you can get. Two completely different worlds. What was the reason for this photo op?

Didn't you know? They're best buds. That dude is always at the home games as Wilson's official mascot.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
