so this isn't a done deal?

You gotta love when we make a low budget player our primary target and can't close a deal. So once again we appear to get played except this time Duhon and his agent made us establish his market and are taking it elsewhere to capitalize.

If that's true than thank god. Duhon sucks.

It can work out to be good and then again it may not. What does this say about the perception of our franchise still? We have D-Cups in place, we represent the largest market in the NBA yet no one is beating down our doors unless it's strictly a financial thing. When will players want to come here because they want to be a Knick with no other strings attached? That's why I wasn't all that impressed with Mayo and Bayless saying they wanted to be a Knick. Yeah they mentioned that tradition BS but really it's always about getting paid and having the spotlight on them, having very little to do with THE KNICKS and it's a turn off to me as a fan. Players need to stop using us.

Of course this will change once we start becoming a winning franchise.

i wonder if duhon's agent went into the office and said "i want browne sanders loot"

Pause No Homo Duhon I believe wears contacts or has these really light brown eyes so what may have been precluded the request was I SAY UGH telling Duhon he's easy on the eyes. I mean we all know I SAY UGH was there during negotiations hammering the numbers out.

It's a safe signing nothing more nothing less just like the draft pick. Except Duhon comes at far less risks and paves the way to Marbury posting up on the corner with a "Why Lie I Need A Beer Sign."

i have no idea what this means.

$11.5mil lawsuit awarded to Anucha I SAY UGH told Anucha she was easy on the eyes. Duhon has really light brown looking eyes almost looks like a girl to a point he got $11.5 to sign with us.

So we make a fiscally responsible offer to a player that fits our needs, and because said player has hesitated, here comes good ol' Trueblue to ridicule the Knicks. Get over yourself.

This should have been one the easier deals to close.

The only way a player would want to be a knick no strings attached would be if they were born in NY and humbly nutty like Ron Artest, But its allways about the money.

Lakers have championships and a market yet there aren't guys beating down the door to get in LA for less money either.

If we didn't have the stipulation of only trying to sign Duhon for 2 yrs then he would have signed already.

we're not 100% sure the knicks made an offer but if they did, i don't blame duhon for checking out his other options. all this really says is that the collateral damage left by isiah is quite extensive.

i mean look at the spurs - they supposedly offered maggette the full MLE but he's still holding out on them.

But I thought players could make up the money in NY with endorsements(even minor ones and having a market exposure to set the foundation for future deals)?

Duhon was apparently offered according Berman maybe slightly more than $7mil
Bulls backup point guard Chris Duhon, during a visit to the Knicks' Westchester campus on Day 1 of free agency yesterday, met with coach Mike D'Antoni and was offered a two-year contract believed to be more than $7 million, according to league sources. Duhon was mulling the offer last night and could accept as soon as today.

Duhon should try to a longer contract for more money. If not, he'll play here.

Im sure he'd be happy to do so, but its a business first.

We on the other hand have our plan and thats all there is.

Isiah's not running the money any more.

What do you mean? He's just shopping himself and trying to squeeze an extra year or two out of other teams, which is what he should do. How is this the Knicks fault?

If the player is a star with a big name like Kobe Bryant or Lebron James. A guy like Duhon I don't think so. How much extra money has Jamal Crawford recieved in endorsements playing for NY??

Probably came from his camp what it take to sign him. As I said he'd be looking for the full MLE. So by putting this out there and obviously not agreeing to either reported offer, he sets the tone for the other teams.

Berman also assumes Marbury will be in training camp even with the possible Duhon signing, Duhon to play a back up role. LOL @ Berman also up in Marbury's arse! He has no shame whatsoever.
