Hey, I mean it's rough. I don't know what our team would have been like with a healthy Longley at center (he must have played like 20 games for us hurt?). He could have been good for 8ppg/5rpg... adding size and bulk. His passing would have made Houston, Sprewell, and everyone else more effective. He would have been great out there with Camby swatting shots from the weak side. You could have a "big" lineup with LJ at SF, Rice at SG, and Sprewell at PG.

Plus... with all of this good passing (LJ was pretty decent at distributing),the big backcourt would have been somewhat feasible for short stretches--- that is, as long as Houston/Sprewell could get past the center line. (Camby was quite proficient at dribbling up the court too)

That would have been a very nice team (on paper)-- we should have been killer-- better than the Philly team that made it to the finals, anyway. We SHOULD have had more balance, more talent, and a deeper bench.

Too bad too many of our players were made of paper, cuz we got burned.

Are u serious Technomaster.

Ewing: Layden should have had the guts to let his expiring contract run out. But know I guess its better to lose Ewing to declining veterans with longer contracts than cut 15+mil off the cap.

Rice: Was traded from LA cuz he kept complaining about being the 3rd option in LA and we already had Sprewell at SF so it was either play Rice out of position at PF or have him backup Spree and have him complain even more about an even smaller role than he had on LA. And your trying to tell me u could see the reasoning for them going after him??

Longley: Jordan is well known for winning championships without ever having a quality center. That says a lot about Longley. Longley averaged 6pts 5.5rebs for Pheniox and was making about 6mil which even if he was healthy he wouldn't have done more than what Dudley did for us. But yet he is supposed to replace Ewing. U say Ewing was declining well he traded a declining Ewing for a declining Rice & a declining Longley who had longer contract.

Knight: was always garbage. He is a center who is a weak rebounder, weak defender, weak shot blocker, no athletism, the only thing he was good for was shooting and he hasn't been great at that since College. He was a usless center with a long long contract and LA dumped him on us.

Harrington: We traded Donyell Harvey who is turning into a solid SF/PF. for Eric Strickland, then we traded Eric Strickland and a draft pick for Harrington. Thats 2 draft picks for a below average PF.

I don't need to get into Houston-Jax-Spoon. Bottom Line he made terrible moves everyone knows it. Well except u. He still has a chance to turn this into a championship ball club after a few yrs of smart moves & Milos, Williams, Sweetney, Lampe, Vranes. But I doesn't seem like they want to take that road. They would rather go for a quick fix in Van Horn and try make some playoff money even though we have no shot at a championship.

Spree was a guys who relied on being atheletic on a team who didn
t have that many atheletic players to begin with. So people thought he was all that "AND FOR THAT I LAUGH AT THEM"

You just had to dredge this up???

Spree is in a better situation than you, me, or anyone affiliated with the Knicks, so do us all a favor and stop riding his sack.

If I recall correctly, you blindly believe in the company line anyways. Do us all a favor and wind the key protruding from ya back, and regurgitate the MSG mamagement rhetoric. Go and big up Keith Van Hype like the rest of the idiots who suck on the MSG propaganda just like you, Playa. Then you can get off your knees and let LayDown zip his pants back up.

Thank You.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
