In a mock draft where we can't assume trades, you add Augustin (who I love) to a team with Devin Harris and Marcus Williams. What's you logic (I'm seriously asking, not being a wise***)??

I'm taking pick #36.

Which would have been the Knicks pick, if not for that moron Isiah throwing it away just to waive Demetrius Nichols before last season even started.

Quite honestly I had Arthur Alexander and Augustin right there. My problem is I just drafted 2 4 men Boone and Williams with my last two first round picks I have RJ and Carter at the wing and for as many games as I have seen the Nets play I don't think Devin Harris plays the PG position--he is a 2 guard. Marcus Williams has not proven he can start and Augustin is a player on this particular team that can help guys like Boone and Williams who just cant get their own offense--he would make a very fast 1-2 combo with Harris in terms of getting up and down and can get Carter and Jefferson the ball in the right spots. He plays fast and he's a good fit for them. They need a big and I can find one later at 21. His size doesnt mean as much on the Nets--his size can be hidden by the enormous perimeter players. On top of it this is a draft lacking in PG's. If I corner the market at 10---I can see what type of prize is out there.

Sorry if I've held things up. I didn't realize the draft had started. The Pacers really wanted a point guard, but we don't think there are any good ones left. In terms of overall talent, they see the two best players left as Gallinari and McGee. Since two of their best young players are Granger and Dunleavy and since, Jermaine O'Neal is getting older and there's been trade talk, the Indiana Pacers select JaVale McGee with the eleventh pick.
