Would you take Desagana Diop at 9? I dont think I would. Taking Jordan this high is VERY risky, he has absolutely NO offensive game, but he can play defense. I seriously compare him to Desgana Diop.

how dare you make that player comparison on these forums without clearing it with TB first?... you should know better... bandwagoner.

I think TB has created a site where you can submit thoughts for his approval: http://www.too-blue.com/

Reviewing Walsh's picks, whenever he picks hig in the draft 10 or under he seems to take a front court player the majority of the time.

That tells me if walsh and not D'antoni is calling the shots he will choose a frontcourt player like a Deandre Jordan 7ft 240 from Texas AM.

For once, you made a good point. I'd be okay with DeAndrew. He's on my top 9 list.

I hate to say his name again, but if we where to get LeBron, a scoring center wouldn't matter that much and defense? Hell yeah we can use it!

Building a team around a player you don't have, and probably wont get = suicidal. You have to prepare for the worst. The only thing we can do, in terms of hoping to get LeBron, is to try and trade Zech and Eddie and Jared for shorter contracts. You build around LeBron when you get LeBron, and only one team has him and that's Cleveland. As of now, we have NOBODY to build around, so we have to simply build a team, and taking 1 way players (Defense or offensive minded) is NOT in our best interests.

Just as long as you move on to O.J. Mayo and or Bayless because that's who we're currently quietly drumming up interest in. Quick find a writer who agrees with your player comparisons on these two and post them here and give yourself an "At A Boy" after doing so.

LOL, so that's the real problem here... u think because i noted the fact that some sportswriter made the same player comparison that i did that i'm taking some relished pride in that fact & wanna rain on my shoulder patting parade? you're seriously too much dude... let it go, i promise to pat you on the back as soon as Derrick Rose turns out to be the next Robert Pack as you predicted, how's that? jeeeez Louis.

No you took the baton and ran with the rumored DG interest. Started referencing all these Youtube highlights raving about the promise the kid may have and as soon as you saw some article that was nothing but a sweeping generalization from Isola from the comparisons he's probably read from lackies on message board forums you then backpacked it for support to your player assessment.

Just to prove a point Isles said he thinks the kid may be a bust and went on to list the reasons why, although not having seen him play. Here's a write up from Senior Columnist Greg Hutchins that brings up many of things Isles mentioned, that warns of DG Bust potential and Mike Lupica's Warning on drafting him at 6.

GH
Bust Alert Danilo Gallinari, SF - Italy (6'9/209 lbs) - Gallinari has been called the next great Euro-star. Scouts say he has all the tools to be an All-Star, but the same scouts said Darko Milicic was better than Dewayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony & Chris Bosh. Gallinari is a poor defender and is enamored with the three-point shot.

The Grasp: Gallinari is projected to go in the top 8 picks. Mike D'Antoni loves Italian basketball, but this selection is far too important to risk on a potential bust. Gallinari is also under contract with his European team for the next 2 years.

ML
Big Warning: The other Italians in the NBA are Andrea Bargnani (not living up to #1 pick status) and Marco Belinelli (did not have much of an impact in GS during his rookie season, where most thought he would be an ideal fit). Danilo's ability to draw fouls, which is a key part of his Italian success, might not work for him in the NBA. He might shy away from contact, and become strictly a three-point shooter (as is the case with Bargnani a lot). He lacks the lateral quickness to be a good defender or rebounder, though both can be improved on by sheer determination. Perhaps his dad can instill some of his work ethic on that end into his son?

I would say that he seems a bit of a project at #6 - he's only 19 years old, and needs to work on his strength, speed, and defense. He's a great shooter with height, and while that translates pretty easily in the NBA, that doesn't necessarily mean he's Dirk just yet. Bargnani, a good comparison, has taken more than two seasons without yet reaching the next level. NYC isn't about patience when it comes to guys with potential (see Phil Hughes).

Now I wonder if any of these columnists have seen the guy play with their own eyes but their assessments were/are extremely similar to what Isles were. Mike Lupica stated he lacks the lateral quickness to be a good defender or rebounder in the NBA. How can he say this since DG hasn't played one game in the NBA? I guess he's just giving an assessment like Isles.

GH pointed out what I said the scouts have said similar things in the past about Euros and may even be in harmony with some of our personal player comparisons but so what that doesn't equate to anything.

funny but when i asked isles for some clarification on his proclamations he told me to take his word for it.

& what's the diffence betweeen w/me making a vague player reference & noting a sportswriter who may have agreed with it & you quoting this stuff from other sportswriters about how DG's gonna be a bust in their eyes? you called me a bandwagoner but you choose to defend isles' position as always... now why is that? are you hugging on his nuts more than usual lately or are you just that desperate to win some posting buddies?

all i see here is more moonwalking hypocrisy on your part... thanks for shedding light on the situation.

Prepare for the worst? And what are we now? Okay, how bout we go after Howard and Paul then? Let's forget all about LeBron.

Allan, you don't think I'm talking about 'right now' are you? In two years is where I'm talking about.
