He has no title. He has no subordinates. He reports directly to Donnie Walsh, but has nothing to report because he has no job. What does it matter to Knicks fans? He has nothing to do with the team. He won't be allowed to speak about the Knicks to the media. He's collecting the rest of his check. Nothing more, nothing less. Emasculated, but rich and with a full dental plan. He has about as much to do with the Knicks now as Anucha.
Hope you are right. I'm going to go celebrate his demotion!

Make no mistake, nobody is celebrating Isiah's "demotion" as much as Isiah is right now.

Unless he's ironing jersey's and oiling gym shoes in the locker room, there is no demotion. We still' don't know what the re-assignment is.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I believe according to the official terms of service, this is sufficient enough reason for a lifetime ban.

Your official position cannot be explained by me on this forum or it will lead to my ban.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I honestly don't get the big ****ing deal. Dolan didn't want to pay Isiah 18 mill for nothing so he told Donnie to assign him to "some position" just to make it ****ing look like he's doing something. Dolan is all about ****ing image and the worst thing for his image, in his mind, would be Isiah getting fired. Isiah has no role with the Knicks now, it's nothing. He's just collecting money while other people (Walsh) make the decisions.

What is the big ****ing deal. Can't we ****ing wait till some moves are made to decide whether or not Isiah really still has input? It's not like it would be that ****ing hard. Isiah made the worst trades/acquisitions in the world, I don't see Donnie making those same terrible trades. If they happen, then fine.

If people aren't going to stick out then ****ing give it up. Theres no reason for people to be knicks fans (myself included) but I'm willing to give Walsh a god damn chance and if you're not, I don't know what to tell you. NBA League Pass is only 180 bucks.

Have you ever heard of a guy being President and Head Coach and then nothing in such a short amount of time? Have you ever seen someone get demoted instead of fired when it comes right down to it in these situations? This crap reeks of Dolan and it opens up the opportunity for Isiah to be the "heir apparent" as Screamin A mentioned. Let's not also forget what a weasel and snake that tool Isiah is. He will no doubt have access to Dolan and undermine Walsh. Walsh is either an idiot for thinking Isiah can contribute to anything(in case you missed it, Walsh went out of his way to say he would discuss things with Isiah often and not just "sometimes") or he is a puppet and simply following Jimmy's orders. Either way, none of this bodes well for the organization. It's just another clusterphuck waiting to happen. This team can never get anything right. Keeping a team poison and negative karma jackass like Isiah does nothing. Firing him and giving him 18 million would be better than keeping him around to further poison the organization.

All that is known is that he got off on a very bad foot with the fan base and he will have to EARN our trust. I was never doing cartwheels for Walsh and now I will not trust him with anything. I wont trust him until Isiah is finally out for good. If that takes 3 years, so be it. Will I care about Isiah when the new season starts? No. But if I hear an Isiah rumor in the papers about him being involved again some time in the next few years, I might as well become a Warriors fan or something. Or at least a team that appreciates its own fans. Call me what you want but in the end it's just giving the team the same love they give us - none.

good post nyk, I am with you on this one. Why can't we just wait to so see if it really isn't going to be the Donnie Walsh show?

It could be overreaction, but certainly you can understand the sentiment of lack of trust for Knicks management and suspicion of there being ulterior motives behind their decisions? The NY Knicks do not have a track record of intelligent management (as stated by David Stern) and have let down the fans many times. To instantly give the benefit of the doubt is tough for many. I have explicitly said that we don't know exactly what the situation is, so while I'm not going to overreact, I'm not going to crucify others that do and certainly swearing your ass off in a post is totally uncalled for, nyk.

Corporate-Speak

nyk4ever - what you said.

If Isiah doesn't have a parking space at Madison Square Garden then what's the problem?

Donnie has politely said to Isiah, "don't call us, we'll call you"

It ain't that deep

Let's face it, if you personally decide not to support the Knicks anymore you will have no effect on the franchise anyway so just chill out and relax.

We might not have any power over this, but outside of it, my own life will be a lot happier.

So you disagree with a move, albiet a really questionable one, and you just drop your team like a bad habit? \

No, it's more like we disagree with our team for a FULL DECADE and eventually lose all hope. How many decades are you willing to give this organization to build a good product?

If the people that are disgusted are really that "disgusted" and stop rooting for the knicks, this forum wont need an ignore feature. It would work out for everything. I have no problem with that. Please keep your word and start rooting for another team.

Marbury had something on zeke

Zeke has something on DOLAN\

Nobody gets fired or bought out, if they did marbury would out Isiah and Isiah would out Dolan.

IT'S LIKE THAT , AND THAT'S THE WAY IT IS !

I don't agree with it , but who's gonna change it?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I agree. Judge DW on DW. Who knows what about anything at this point except DW reports directly and only to Dolan. Isiah reports directly to DW, and is not the coach or GM.

I mean.. we want him gone because we hate him, but if you DW and you have full control over this why do you care? If Dolan says he wants him to scout or have some role or function because he's on payroll then why does that impair DWs ability or authority to run this franchise?
