I believe they keep Isiah around until after the season- There's only a few games left.

It's anyone's guess what's going to happen... We'll find out at 1 O'clock, though..
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I will bring up the spite angle.

"Isiah stays" is thru the season. THat I agree. Why change now?

Dolan likes to shave the bellies of his distained and make them lie in their own urine.

He will try to get Isiah as uncomfortable as possible and isolate him. He will try to get him to accept a buyout offer so he can move on with his life. He won't get in Walsh's way, and dolan likley told Walsh "you have full control, and Isiah won't be a problem, I just want to Phuch with him for a few months and get my rocks off!".

Very well can be...
Personally I would like Isiah to be tortured as long as possible with twisting in the wind in MSG in any capacity; without power, future, and hated by fans, employees, and players. Everybody can make practical jokes on him and have him as a scapegoat at any occasion. It's testy!!!!

naa.. he wont say anything. You will get the line "we will look at everything, decide whats best for the organization and move in that direction."

Isiah will be gone. The money means nothing. We chucked alot more than that away on guys like Jalen Rose and Zach Randolph and Steve Francis. No need to create drama. Walsh is the anti drama. Open with the media, the league, etc

Here's a guy other GMS will work with and listen too

I'm sure the laughing began with the AWOL drama in November.

Welcome to NY Donnie, this is the type of laughingstock that you've just joined:

CNNSI.com
Top new slogans for the Knicks

The Knicks have called a press conference today to announce that Donnie Walsh will indeed take over their basketball operations. Walsh will replace Isiah Thomas as team president, though Isiah's status as coach is still up in the air.

Still, it's going to take a lot more than one change to clear out the stench that has pervaded the World's Most Famous Arena. What the Knicks really need is a new slogan. We've tapped our top ad wizards to come up with these suggestions:

10. Now With 75% Less Sexual Harassment!

9. The Magic is Back ... For Three Road Games

8. A Team, a Town, a Travesty

7. Courtside Seats Still Cost Less Than an Hour With "Kristen"

6. We Can't Suck Any Worse

5. With the Knicks, Every Day is April Fools

4. Better Than Watching Barack Bowl

3. Either Buy Tickets or Get Into the SUV

2. At Least This Time Isiah Didn't Destroy an Entire League

1. We Promise to Draft Tyler Hansbrough!

Well, I sure hope that Mr. Walsh doesn't come in and try to take credit for all the seeds of success that Isiah has sown these past few years. Walsh is extremely lucky to be taking over after a series of brilliant moves by Isiah, and could have amazing success building on Isiah's hard work. This seems like a good moment to recall that, before Isiah came here, we had guys like Eisley, Weatherspoon, Anderson, Van Horn, etc. on this team. Now we have so many beloved players who will form the future core of this team. Guys like Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry, Jerome James, Malik Rose & Quentin Richardson. Guys who make you proud when they put on the Knicks uniform.

https:// It's not so hard.

This is a great move. Walsh must have got all the assurances he wanted, which most likely means that Isiah is a goner!

Isles, get that thread ready!

That thread is reserved for when Isiah is no longer associated with the Knicks, not for when he gets a new boss or is reassigned within the organization.

I appreciate you remembering though. Let's hope Martin and Andrew have remembered as well.

It is your right for that thread, you just better make sure you're around when it does happen

All in all I agree with you Isles, but what if Isiah is retained and we never hear from him again? Even if he is kept, I don't think he will have ANY say, not even for where him and his fellow employees (for whatever position he gets) go to lunch.

I don't like the idea of keeping him in any capacity, but I can see Dolan wanting to keep him around so he can earn his money. If Dolan does take that route and we never hear from Isiah again, even though he's still an employee, it would be ok by me.

There is the letter of the law, and then there is intent.

If they make Isiah head of scouting - and that's one area we can debate his worth- is that not enough?

He needs to be gone, no doubt.

But Dolan the rich spoiled boy has a new best friend. And rich spoiled boys always get their way.

No, that's not enough.

First of all, we'd still be missing out on the Bynum's of the world, if Isiah were head of scouting, and ending up with the Channing Frye's instead. Isiah's "eye for talent" is so completely overrated.
Or maybe we'd end up with T-Mac's and Camby's if Dolan's willing to allow Walsh and Isiah to do real rebuilding. We have no idea. It's gonna take a couple of years to ascertain this.

Remember that bogus "Give me 2 weeks" crap? After they went something like 1-5 in those 2 weeks, all Isiah would say is that he would stay the course.

Let him take his ill-gotten money and ruined reputation and go someplace far away from the Knicks.

The Fan just reported that Dolan won't be taking any questions and Isiah's job status won't be addressed.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It's good to know that that piece of **** Dolan doesn't feel a need to address the fans of his team after a year like this where they still came to support the team.

I love this pic because it has it all. If you look at the headline above it mentions the Giants Swagger but with this Bum's front/back cover Blow-Up the Giants ain't got nothin on his SWAG. He so gangster in this shot. The pooched mouth, the Nixon-like finger point, and those lying snake eyes, it's the shot of shots.
