Siar - think of it this way. If this is at least a two year process, does it really matter whether you take one position (center/guard) before the other?

Take Lopez in 08... wait on Curry in 09.

Or take Rose in 08 and Hansbrough in 09?

Deep huh?

Darius Miles is so last season.

I'd rather take Ime Udoka back

waiting on the point guard is the difference between having a backcourt of Chris Paul (on a rookie deal) and Joe Johnson vs what the Hawks had for 2 1/2 seasons before taking on Bibby's contract
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Siar - I have no problem with Rose on the talent front. Just need to understand more about his demeanor (especially if the winning in NYC is not on the level of his Memphis experience) before I give him the reins as floor leader.

Siar - pls understand the point I'm trying to make is more about the responsibility of running the team as floor general. In this next transition, there is more attention and focus on the backcourt if Rose is the selection so he better be able to handle losing as he was able to handle winning.

If you start with center, does it ease the transition? Hell if I know?... I'm jus sayin'

Is Rose a Chris Paul type of facilitator?

We've been close before. One game can mess all that up though. That's why the next 2 teams are key. Milwaukee sucks worse than the Knicks right now if that's hard to believe. They've already lost to us twice this year and both times they had a sizeable lead that they blew.

Memphis is capable of pulling out a win over the Lakers and then losing the next night to the Clippers. That's why they have 19 wins. They aren't a good team.

If we win both, you can kiss th top 3 goodbye. If we split it, we still have a decent chance. And obviously if we lose both we're in a pretty good position.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Just got back from the game. A few things I noticed:

Arrived at 3 and Lee, Jeffries and Balk were the only Knicks putting in pre-game work.

During the game, I can't recall one play where Craw or Chandler (or whoever manned the 2g position at the time) ran off a screen for a curl play and launched a jumper. Everything was one on one or predicated on Jamal creating for someone or dumping it down in the post.

Jamal takes way too many contested jumpers. Its no wonder his fg % is what it is. A few curl plays would work for him.

Chandler is a terrific athlete. Seeing him in person shows how ripped/and big he actually is. That block he had on Josh Smith was awewome live. If he had a pure PG who could set him up and get out in transition, he would benefit tremendously. Too many times, he receiving the ball out on the wing and doesn't know what to do with it besides put up a jumper. A good PG would lead him towards the basket or direct him to spots where he can be effective like on the baseline.

As much as I bash Jared Jeffries, he's really busting it out there. He's playing really hard.

Balk was nailing jumpers during the pre-game warm up, but during the game when the pace quickens, his jumpers are rushed and shot without confidence.

I thought it was interesting that during timeouts, most of the players were more interested in the activities on the court (fan interactions, give aways, the mascots clowing around, and the Hawk dancers). Other than the five that were going into the game, no one was paying Isiah any mind. Even Aguirre was looking out on the court during timeouts.

BTW Mike Bibby is a horrible PG. Good scorer/shooter but he makes some horrible decisions with the bal in his hands.

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.
