to be fair, whoever any of us saw play yesterday would probably be an upgrade for the knicks.

it's a little hard for me to imagine me thinking a guy's gonna be nothing but a D Leaguer bust 1 day & then 3 months later completely switch my stance & proclaim him to be a safe pick at #5... maybe that's just me.

all briggs posts are basketball ideas - they change over time, but he usually explains himself and is realistic and informative. everyone's opinion on draft prospects changes - especially with the draft, you get new information, you update your opinion.

before the elite eight, no one had derrick rose going number 1. he has two amazing games in a row and suddenly everyone says he's the best pg prospect since kidd. i don't know why so many people get on briggs for updating his ratings on players, that's what the entire league does. i'd rather read his revised opinions on players than another "how can we get oj mayo?" thread. we aren't getting mayo, we might be getting one or two of the guys briggs talks about. that's the difference to me.

It has more to do than what you're trying to portray here. For example he'll basically clown someone for thinking Eric Gordon could turn out to be a good prospect, after individuals give very articulate, well thought out reasons as to why they believe so. He'll whine and cry about how his assessments are being slept on yada yada and if you don't follow his flow he'll create a separate thread mind you(hence the one he made for King and the many others he's made without necessarily attaching anyone's name but you could figure it out if you had discussion with him) instead of just staying in the thread where the discussion was taking place and make his points there. He also calls posters out, or takes digs at them for being hypocritical in their assessments of talent. But please don't do it to him otherwise you're deemed a FREAK. He doesn't necessarily name call, but he's just as abrasive and rude as posters like Isles, myself,(who get called out on it quicker than you can get a woody looking at an Alba pic) oohah, and others can be at times. That's tacky and uncalled for no matter what anyone says.

Some are expressing disappointment over those who are making a big deal over his classlessness and total hypocrisy while condoning his accountability. Then it turns into an even bigger deal than what it needs to be. Look I have no problem with Briggs presenting his cases or tooting his horn when it comes to past/present draft talk discussions. But when he's out of line, which he has been he's fair game and should be addressed by the Mods regardless of his UK history credibility plain and simple. Whether you deal with him directly in a thread or you pull quotes with links as far back as the 1920's. This isn't a popularity contest folks we all need to be treated the same. This also isn't exclusive to Briggs either.

In most cases I very rarely cry for getting reprimanded for being over the top because quite frankly it can happen. We get amped up over this because basketball is our life. Let's just make sure it isn't exclusive to a select few and exercise some equality as I said earlier.

he not only takes digs at me w/his classless insults at the zone forums but also at a few fellow UK members that also post there either now or have done so in the past, Solace, Bonn, Allanfan, joec, islesfan to name a few... arrogance is no excuse for insulting fellow posters... challenging someone on their own hypocrisy can be responded to w/o resorting to personal insults... i think an apology from BRIGGS is in order for his comments.

Ya'll need to work this out on Dr. Phil, or in the octogon or somethin'. This getting out of control. Nobody wants to read essays about this.

i bumped this thread to point how how much his opinion has changed on Westbrooke & then he took it to another level... we can get back on topic w/o a problem... just waiting to hear how he can say Westbrooke was a future D Leaguer 1 day & then say he's a safe pick at #5 a couple months later... last time i checked the NCAA season ended a while ago.

I hate people who resort to insulting fellow posters. And hypocrisy cannot be tolerated.

Danilo Gallinari is very tempting to visualize running with The Mayor.

Suddenly the Knicks capacity for versatlity and outside offense has improved. That makes two.

"I think he's an unusual package," Walsh said. "We saw video of him. I knew he could take it to the goal. I knew he had a great handle. He played a good all-around game.

"But he came here (to work out), his shooting was off the charts. He made shots when the game was on the line and he got the ball with the game on the line. When he was here, his shooting touch was great. He's the kind of player who can bring a team together."

It's not fair to the young man and it's totally lacking in originality

I just wonder how this team is supposed to run when you have fat Curry and fat Randolph at the 4 and 5...
