ditto. Not to mention, he won't be doing that to every other team out there. Just wait until the next two games go by. He'll be lucky to score 20.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Why are people making such a big deal out of a game where the Knicks were without any other scorers and Nate was allowed to have the offense run through him all night? With his gunslinging mentality, I would have been shocked if he didn't score a lot of points.

I caught most of the 4th and OT and I saw the Blazers, a team without a defensive presence in the paint, giving up layups to Nate. Then in OT I saw Nate going for 50, shooting the ball whenever he got his hands on it.

I would be much more impressed if Nate could show that he can play team basketball and run an offense where getting his own shot isn't his first thought. This does nothing to disprove the fact that he's nothing more than an energy role player off the bench who will look to do nothing but score. On a good team he would really have to be reigned in. On this team he's free to do whatever the hell he wants. Not impressed.
IF you had been watching, you would have noticed over the last few months that he is actually holding his offense back. His assists haven't been amazing by any standard, but crawford actually holds the ball a lot and nate has been making some really nice passes, which have been creating easy baskets for guys.

Nate Robinson has been terrific. There was no use in chronicling his whole season, but I chronicled his January on a thread here and he was putting up a near 4 to 1 A/TO. To say that he hasn't matured or changed his game is ignoring the games or just being dense for the purpose of an agenda. I would say the whole season was a wash, but that woudln't be fair to Nate who has worked hard to improve his game when basically everyone had him written off by the end of last year.

No where this translates for a team with no direction is hard to figure. But that's a more overarching problem.

I wholeheartedly agree hence my Marbury vs Kevin Johnson comparison. One rather have unlimited freedom and chuck to his hearts desire, while the other rather manage a team and pick his spots in the offense when to get his.

& yet i have a pretty good feeling people would be very impressed if he were playing on another team... i guess it's all in perceptions... i happen to think anytime a player puts up over 40 it's worthy of praise... whether people should get overly excited over that player's prospects of continuing that trend is another matter altogether... let's see him play this way over a continued stretch before we proclaim his arrival to the big stage... that goes for players like Linas Kleiza & Marcus Williams too for that matter.

Your starting to bother me. Don't get me wrong, I have no pull here. I have read stupid and ridiculous things said by gkf for awhile now, and have said nothing. I tend to think he is just so upset with the state of this team that he has no objectivity whatsoever. But your just saying stupid stuff, which is going to get both me and you in trouble. Perhaps only me, but I am willing to get bannned for complaining about an idiot.

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that some posters here have more than one identity. Your the second guy in three days who has come out of nowhere and clobbered me over the head in defense of someone else.

Are you VDesai also?

I suppose you have a right to threaten me if you want. It's only fair right? I've taken quite a few shots myself, I admit. But hey, it's a lousy ass team, run by a lousy ass manager and it's been nothing but frustration for all of us, hasn't it? How come VDesai is allowed to be frustrated with the state of this team and I'm not? (according to you)
I'll never trust this' team again.

I think you are nuts and I will leave it at that. And for the record, I happen to appreciate vdesai's analysis. I think it is very good. Obviously there are a lot of people on this site that I think add stuff, you i am no longer sure of.

In the NBA size matters. Nate is extraordinary athlete but his size will always hold his defense and teams down. Not a bad player to have on the bench though.

Exactly what I been saying. He's just two, three inches too late to be a starter.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Are you serious? It's time for you to put the key board down for awhile and go take a breather. If you can't handle the heat, then get out of the kitchen.

I had to look at it again. The Knicks are 18 - 45 and I'm called nuts. Doesn't that just beat all.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I don't what I said that was so contraversial. Has Nate gotten obviously better this year? Absolutely. Is he making better decisions? Absolutely. Is his development the bright spot in our crap season? Absolutely.

I like facts getting in the way of my arguments, so I was relating in my prior posts, here are his numbers since January when he start getting more minutes again:

15.1 ppg, 4.4 apg, 1.7 TOpg, 44.4% shooting.

That's pretty good and certainly qualifies as jump up in his career.

Anyway, I'll return to my rubber room now.

Well, this is completely untrue. I have openly said that I think this team sucks. However, that does not mean every aspect of it sucks. There is room for optimism. I understand you are upset, because honestly I am too.

there doesn't seem to be any room for objective opinions on this forum these days... if u utter a single positive comment about a player's performance you get labelled a blind faith lover of the team that still thinks we have a shot to win a title... it's ridiculous.
