LeBron and Jay-Z were talking about it tonight during stoppages in play.

Slim, i agree, getting under the cap should be our #1 priority... i don't think i've been in favor of any trades this season that would hurt our already crappy cap situation, meaning taking on any deals that extend past 2010... IMO our #1 priority right now needs to be unloading Zach's longterm deal for 1 that's got less years remaining, even if it's just 1 year in exchange for inferior talent.

in the meantime though, how great would it be to at least see some of our young guys getting extended playing time & seeing if they can develop into solid NBA players? i for one would be a whole lot more forgiving of Wins & Losses if i saw a group of young guys trying their best as opposed to overpaid vets who play like they're just happy collecting their paychecks after every game.

From watching these last 2 games, I think that the main reasons the Knicks so bad, is uncomplimentary players, lack of defense, lack of *good* veterans. Some of these problems can be fixed just with better rotations, (for example playing either Curry OR Randolph, getting minutes for Balkman, and Chandler, etc..) but, some of them have no internal solution. I wouldn't be opposed to management (whoever that is, I think it'll be Thomas) not doing a complete rebuild, depending on exactly what they do.

^ Well those were the problems from the perspective of being a .500 team. Obviously to be a very good team the Knicks would need even more than that.

Nate Robinson is officially the biggest idiot in the NBA. Goaltending a 3 pt shot?!? What the **** was the point in that? Immature little moron.

Im actually with Nate on this one. Why are the Cavs shooting threes? They have the game, why rub our noses in it?!

Why are they rubbing their noses in it just because they're taking a 3 there? It's amazing the "poor us, we're the victim" mentality with this team. The Cavs needed to shoot there and the Knicks left another player open for a 3 so he took it. That's not rubbing their noses in it, that's called playing the game. And what did goaltending the shot do? Other than guaranteeing the Cavs 3 more points and making the final score look even worse?
They could have just ran out the clock, unless the Knicks would magically pull a 10 point play out of their collective asses.

yeah, we obviously got a long ways to go before we become 1 of the elite teams again, but we gotta start making some moves towards reaching that end... it can't all come at once in a single year if we want to be realistic... at least let's make some moves to obtain some kind of cap relief for 2010 & then consider our options after we see how our lottery pick pans out this year i say.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I love how the ****ty 25 game under .500, with a quarter of the season left to play, team is going to police how the good teams are supposed to finish off wins.

I've never seen a bad, unprofessional team, worry so much about the etiquette for winning teams.

Cavs always suck against the Knicks, which is why I expect them to lose tonight.

You need to give the Knicks' opponents more credit sometimes. They're playing the Knicks for God's sake !

I don't think you understand why I make my predictions.

Enlighten me. I doubt you're being sarcastic. You've been highly concerned about the Knicks beating teams while decreasing their lottery pick chances recently.

I will enlighten you at the end of the season if you haven't noticed the trend by then.
