Eddy did well last year offensively. The problem is somewhat Eddy but the bigger problem is Isiah. Solution to this mess is basically fire Isiah. Hire a good coach and a big man coach like Ewing to work with Curry. Its no waonder why Howard, MIng and Bynum are playing well they are being tutored by legit big men who once dominated the game as centers. curry is being taught by a sf to be a big man which can only mean one thing he will rebound like a sf and play small like a sf.

I also think - that it would be hard for him to change -right away. I mean last year - he was asked to do what he did best - camp out in the post and score. When he did that - he also responded by getting more rebounds.

This year - with the addition of Randolph - your asking him to do a lot. One - he can't camp out in the low blocks -because you have Randolph there as well. He has to drift in and out -allowing Randolph to put pressure on the other side and then look for his oppourtunity to cut to the basket or get position. Things he has never ever done. Now - you ask him to develop a face up jump shot from 5-10 feet out, learn to gain position when he is not on the low box and also help out on defense (when last year - it was the 'other' guy helping him out.

He has a very old school game. Camp out on the block- hook shot or bull it into the basket. He is actually quite agile (atleast offensively) for a guy his size.

So - it is a big deal. Randolph doesn't have to change that much. He played with Pryzbilla- so he didn't have to play defense. All he had to do was play his same game - outside 10-15 jumpers and an occasional post up move. However- this year - he is being asked to take it on the low block much more and drive to the basket-which he has done on occasion- but not regularly.

So obviously it will take less time for Randolph to be in sync. I believe this is being done purposively to get Randolph more comfortable with the Knicks- since he started off so horribly. Also - unfortunately he is the Knicks best shooter at 46% - so you need to keep him in there - to ground Jamal Chuckford and sidekick Chuckie Robinson - not to mention - 'watch me miss' Q Rich.

I, for one, wish you didn't quote this--hence circumventing my IL--because my eyes started to bleed and my brain started to deteriorate.

yawn

Are you still defending this scrub? Be a man and admit you were wrong!! Eddy Curry is a peice of garbage!!

why does everything think the yawn is a sign of defending someone. I think TMS is prolly bored of the same conversation that gets regurgitated.

thank you.

Well, it WAS a new quote from Eddy. Why not analyze it? For it just furthers the reality that he is a lost cause.....as is our team as his statements are echoed by many players acquired by Isiah in that they think they are perfect and need not improve. Although I digress, I don't think ANY OF THEM have it in them to improve.

In that it paints a very sober and undeniable picture that: Wishing for a miracle trade or a miracle lotto pick WONT change our fortunes.

Why? We've watched four+ years of Isiah attempt to make that "Just one more trade" only to NOT witness that new player lift the team up....but...to watch the team (which is not a team but merely a collection of individuals wearing the same jersey) drag that new player down with them.

The next acquisition and draft pick will be NO different.

Therefore the Knick fan base, after 7+ years of ineptitude of which Isiah holds 4+ years of time within - SHOULD BE SPEAKING AS ONE:

Fire Isiah, Hire a competent business man who will buy out Malik, Marbury, James. Who will seek to trade Curry, Crawful, Zachass for 09 or 10 expirings and picks and rookie deal players. Who will try to remove QRich and Jeffries if they can (yet knowing their contracts are low enough to not worry that much).

Who will hire a coach to play the kids we have...to at least see what we got...and to draft properly.

So maybe, what could have been July 2009 - is now July 2010 (due to Dolans stubborn nature) will be the month we can say...........as a fanbase and team collectively....:

THE CANCER as been ERIDACTED.

Our new KIDS are PLAYING WELL TOGETHER.

And...NOW we can start building a NEW TEAM that will COMPETE in a year or two!

So, sorry... to yawn at my post just shows how apathetic fans have become - on BOTH sides. The "optimistic" side yawns at making fun of Curry or Crawful as if they will turn it around if we consumate the right trade. Or, the pessimistic side yawning saying "WE KNOW SHUT UP!"

If that's the case....shut the site down, there's nothing to talk about anymore.

*does pathetic Neo *bring it* hand gesture*

Eddy thinks it's his offense that's the problem. He's gonna work on his jump hook now (what happened to the jumper?) rather than defense and rebounding. And why not, Isiah already told us Eddy will never be a good defender or rebounder, so they've giving up on that aspect of the game.

I remember marbury telling us, and Larry Brown, that he wont change the way he plays either.

These are our captains and franchise players. Dumb (in a basketball sense), inflexible, uncoachable.

Eddy, tell us this year you're you're playing like Curry, and next year you've got to get back to playing like McCurry, and you don't care what the coach thinks.

I love this game.

That's exactly the problem. This is whats preventing Eddy Curry from being a good player. He is simply never going to get it. Its almost similar to what Charles Barkley said about Stephon Marbury. "Stephon was one of those players where you said on draft night, 'If he can learn to do this, and that he will be the best player in the league. And Stephon never seemed to get it."

Eddy Curry simply doesn't get it. He never will.
