i don't get this talk of being exposed in another system.
what other system? did john stockton ever play in another system? how do you know he could play any other way except pick and roll with another top50 player of all time? would stockton be exposed without the 2nd best PF of all time to score all his passes?
he is playing for the raptors and he's playing at a high level - good enough to be an all star this season.

Quite sad when an argument is presented that can't be proven.
But speaking of other systems isn't Calderon a World Champion starting point guard from the European League?
nothing to prove.. the guy isn't good enough. The fans didn't think so, and the coaches.... but I guess you know more than those NBA coaches.... How many votes did calderon receive.? just curious..
You keep missing my point. I'm not saying Calderon should be playing in the All-Star game, although you could make an argument for him. I'm saying he's playing and having an All-Star caliber season which you can mention him in the same breath with other All-Star. For Arenas to say he's 20 years away from being one is ASININE!
I don't think his name was even on the ballot.
I understand your point, but really you have to sift through arenas's bullshyt. that 20 years away thing is overexaggerating, in typical arenas fashion, but I understand the essence of his rant about calderon. It is the same thing he did when he opened his big mouth about deng, okafor and gordon when they declined those contracts, he said they were not worth that type of money, now although the market in some cases, especially with okafor, dictates that he could get the kind of money he wants( just see tyson chandler and dalembert). His overall message was that they were not worth that type of money even though lesser players were making that kind of money. we knew where arenas was comming from... The same thing applies here, he overexaggerated but the essence of his rant to me is well understood.... Sometimes guys will have a great start to the season and may play on a very high level for a period of time, but that doesn't make them an allstar.. I think the same applies here... and again, it is no knock on calderon...
