Williams' had 13 nine+ assist games, shoots very nice percentages, and gets a boatload of steals. He is a bit of tweener, and there are better than him out there, but he hardly "stinks." If the Knicks can trade Randolph for Williams and some relief, I'd be more than satisfied.

He also makes half as much as Randolph annually... so if someone can tell me how this isn't either (1) a personnel upgrade or (2) a financial structure upgrade, please let me know. I'm dying to hear this one.

Maurice Williams and Michael Redd for Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford works... so if something like that is a possibility, hwo do you pass up that type of deal? Doesn't Eddy Curry need high percentage shooters? Wouldn't that be a step in the right direction? But, Mo Williams stinks, my bad.

Mo Williams is a good player. I dunno where you're getting that crap from. 48% FG, 39% 3PT, 86%FT. Last I checked, we don't have any players capable of doing that. 17 pts, 7 assists, 1.5 stls per game.

Now, you can criticize this on the basis that we should never trade for more long term deals. That's fine and that's correct. But Mo Williams is a pretty good player.

He reminds me a little of Sam Cassel- he rips up that midrange J and he's improving steadily as a PG. He's only 25, and has shown some steady improvement in his game.

a young Sam would be a good comparison, tho i think Mo is probably quicker off the dribble & overall... both guys make some big clutch shots tho, there's no denying that... they are money players in crunchtime.

Williams is one of my favorite PG's. He is tough, clutch and multi-dimensional. It's true what they say, you know, about, absence making the heart grow fonder....
