He thinks KMART'S a stiff... consider the source, VMART.

Yeah I like KMART I thought he was a glorified Camby type player great athletic ability with no skills he proved me wrong he has skills. He has attitude and he wants to win. These are attributes Camby never had. KMART has got the fight in him. Did you see when Duncan tried to help him off the floor he turned on him like a rabid dog.

you keep posting common sense and good analogies like that we may give you tkf's spot with the suspects.

But like yogi said it's 90 pct mental, kmart has the warrior mentality, to go with amazing hops. he is a very good player on the "RISE"

... That's the thing VMART, you hit it on the head... tkf cannot get himself to say... "he proved me wrong". Normally, the lad is on point but, I suppose his brain has a slight glitch when it comes to Kenyon.

you see this is what I mean pike, when I say a guy is a bum, I am not referring to him being like Shandon Anderson or Travis knight, but as Ares put it he is a player on the "RISE" but you will never get me to say he is very good or he is a Star on the rise, that is BS. He IMO does not have the skill to be a star. He tries to put on that tough guys BS personna but at the end of the day the mofo still can't hit a jumper, can't dribble, has no post moves and his game is as ugly as it gets. To say he is a camby with heart is fair, but Pike to say he is a star is as absurd as you say calling him a bum is...

damn pike that was low..

but I do back up my argument with points. I won't make a argument like Baker will have a break out season just because he moved back home, or that JVG sucks because he is short..

yup, I saw him miss 4 of 5 FT's from the line, I saw him try that same BS move to the left that eveyone knows and he does it as if he has a jumper or something else to finish it off besides running over the defender, I also saw that charles smith imitation he did getting blocked under the basket like 4 times in a row. I saw him brick jumpers. The only thing he does will IMO is Dunk.... Sorry man that is how I see him. He has less of a offensive game than Aaron williams.... haha!!

OK pike and I want you to notice, you are the ONLY ONE to say he was a star, tell all of us why he is and should be in the same category as Kobe, shaq, Garnett, Duncan etc..

I am waiting..

I know what your saying. He isn't a superstar. Right now in his third year he is a good player. I'm not gonna say he is a superstar either. His offensive skills aren't polished like a Duncan or a Wallace or Karl Malone. He relys on his athletic ability to get a shot sometime he doesn't think his moves out and they are a result of raw execution of talent. You gotta admit though he is more skilled than Camby he has a pretty consistent jumper from 10-15 feet out. There are times when he looks out of control. I'll give you that. There is a rawness to KMART's game. I think in time he will get better with that.

I didn't say he was a SUPER STAR, I said... he was a STAR... not at the same level as Duncan or KG but, one of the better emerging power forwards in this league. One who is starting to dominate his position against most and one who is deserved of a max contract.

You act as though you haven't noticed the tremendous improvement and development in his game since his first couple of years and that makes you look RIDICULOUS!

V-mart: very well put, even I can't disagree with that post. It is when pike ( and he knows how to push my buttons on this topic) says he is a star is far fetched. But you made some good points and I agree..

Ares is right: you are usual suspects material....

Pike the only RIDICULOUS thing here is you putting Kenyon Martin and star in the same sentence.... And as playa would say..

For that I laugh at you..

look, kmart tore up the east and disappeared/got shut down in the finals, period. that just goes to show that Layden made the right move with dyess last year. If healthy, McD would have dominated the East and the Knicks could have been in the NBA finals. Don't think J-Kidd got the Nets there by himself. He needed Kmart to seriously do the inside scoring, defense and winning.

Byron Scott = Pat Riley?
Kmart 3-23 in finals elimination game
John Starks 2-19 in finals elimination game

Coincidence? I think not. Why did neither of these coaches pull the guys!?

Kmart had 'flu-like' symptoms

I'll tell you what. I like kmart and think he's an up and coming star in this league (first All-Star game next year), but I didn't accept that 'flu-like symptoms' BS from Allan Housless last time NY was in the playoffs (when was that? 30, 40 years ago?) and I'm not going to accept it from kmart. If he was on the floor, he had to bring more than the 1 for 200 he shot. Period. If that's the best he could bring, he should've sat out.

RJ... man, what was that? That steal was the momentum-turner of the game. It marked the definitive 'who wants it more' line. There is NO excuse for half-steppin' in the Finals. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I guarantee you that if that had been a game in April, Scott woulda banned has ass to the bench for the rest of the game.

Still, hats off to a team that is CURRENTLY head-and-shoulders above our sad sack Knicks in almost every facet from ownership through waterboy.

Too bad they blew their chance, though. The East is getting stronger (well, except for NY) and it will be a true MIRACLE to see NJ even in the ECF next year. Unless Thorn keeps jkidd and pulls another rabbit out of his hat by getting NJ bonafide outside presence. Hey, Rod, we got one in NY!!! You want him??? Trade Housless to NJ!!!

Jersey's coach couldn't adapt , he was brainwashed into thinking he didn't have to cover hot 3 pt shooter and double duncan at different times during the game(mix it up).
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I should know better than to ask, but I just HAVE TO!

Is Byron Scott a better or worse coach than Non Chaney?
