88 inches: Busty Heart, Boston Celtics.
Stripper Busty Heart and her massive 88 inch bazooms bounced into the public eye during Game 1 of the Celtics 1986 playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks. The tall blonde caused a major commotion at Boston Garden when she began dancing in a tight halter top right next to a CBS TV camera. The uproar prompted Celtics radio announcer Johnny Most to explain to his listeners: "There is a blonde with very large assets dancing in the stands. She looks like Morganna but much larger." The voluptuous heart became Boston's unofficial mascot, and from her seat near the Hawks' bench she created such a visual distraction that Atlanta coach Mike Fratello later claimed she cost his team at least one win in the series, which the Celtics took in five games.

Eh....while I understand that I still don't feel it. I'd rather they just stop feeding a media, of which they know will try to make everything worse than it already is, and just feed them generic answers and go out there and play the games.

When what they have to say can do nothing but harm then there's no reason to continue to make the same mistake of opening their mouths. If they weren't a lowly 4-9 and talking a big game about a top team in the league maybe it wouldn't be as big of a deal.


They better bring it tonight otherwise this is going to be revisted.

Cosmic - please allow me to help translate what exact message Quentin was delivering to his professional basketball playing fraternity brothers on the Celtics:

Richardson: "bring your A game"

I don't see any problem whatsoever with that.

Of course you understand the media in New York MUST be fed. It is not a choice whether the players will talk to them or not. It is mandatory. You don't talk and guess what happens?

you get reprimaned or fined or traded or all of the above (ie Spree and Camby)

So with 25-30 cats breathing down your neck at every available moment, don't you think the chances of being mis-quoted, over-exaggerated, deliberately mis-interpreted (because everyone KNOWS the Knicks despise the media and treat them like dirt) or stuff taken out of context are relatively high?

c'mon.

hold up, I forgot something....

Bus' the Celtics in the face!!!!!

Well, we each have our own interpretation of what we read. I got a little hot-dogging out of his comments that I think are unwarranted given our position. You've gotten something else entirely out of it. Just the way it's going to be.

Make no mistake: They'd be a lot better off keeping their emotions to themselves and following the Dolan company spin rule when it comes to the media.

Then, there is no quote, all the media can then do is take the company line quote and suggest the player is in denial.

It's a lot less harmful.

Another thing about the media: The Knicks have been terrible for six full seasons, four (well, 3.75) under Isiah. Now their 7th season (and entering Isiah's 4.75) they opened 2-9. Why on EARTH do they or some fans believe the media's job is to swim through a canal full of filth to find a random nugget of gold (such as say zachs rebounding) and ignore 100 things that are wrong with the Knicks and ONLY report on the 1 good thing they find?

I don't see how that is what they have to or should do to please the eternally optimistic side of the fan base. Their job is to report. If you're stinking it up they're going to crucify you.

Hey, guess what, if we were 9-4? There WOULD BE some good articles out there! Until we're good? Expect more negative reporting. Expect more negative rhetoric from fans.
