The Answer Man Searches for his Patented Louis Orr Game Face

Q. bip - Aren't the first three games now part of his past?

A. Definately. The only thing that matters is the here and now... and tonight

Q. bip - What's the cutoff for evaluation?

A. So long as Jamal is wearing the orange and blue, there is no cutoff.

Thank you for your quick and thorough response

Jesus Bip, that was funny.

fishmike - instead of throwing down the expected gauntlet, I think killa4 is hoping to invite discussion, on whether there is any unique evidence from Jamal's early season that can be used to build a case for him actually TAKING the next step.

Not his past.

I would submit that this unique mix of Knicks, unlike any roster to date in terms of development and personnel, is not a stable substance

but a dynamic chemical compound subject to change

All I am saying is he has taken THIS step before. What we are seeting is nothing new. What we need to see is more of it. about 78 more games of it

Jamal Crawford is our best playmaker. Has been since we traded for him. Only he hasn't been aggressive with his playmaking ability on a consistant basis. So if he can continue to be aggressive with attacking the basket, with looking to create shot for teammates on a more consistant basis. Then he definatly can be an emerging star. The one conclusion that everyone agrees upon is consistancy is the only thing stopping him from being a star.

misterearl, your posts fail to compile in my logic evaluator

misterearl's job is to sell dreams. There is no trial period and definitely no refunds. But if you buy one you don't like you can always trade it in for another.

If Crawford continues to put up number like this through out the season we will have no choice but to call him a star. We have to remember one thing though wins = stars. If the Knicks win games look for three players to be in the All-Star game this year. Curry, Crawford and Zach.

Looks like he's not the prolific scorer some thought he was going to be.

After four games now, he's down to 21.7 points. If he has another 13 point performance, he'll be at 19.9 a game. Inconsistent, just like the others.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Look @ Kobe. 37 point a game, after four games. And his just kept going up. I still can't believe a few thought it would be a mistake bringing him here.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I think you misunderstood.

This is our problem, we have a guy who takes the worse shots and constantly carries the ball(I believe that he has at least 20 of those so far) I still say we need a more in control option at SG. Since Crawford worked on his body this past off season maybe next year he might work on his decision making.

like i said before, he is what he is. a streak shooter. he is too streaky to be a star in a league that is guard heavy already. though it is good that he drives more to get to the line but he has to consistently do it. not on two nights and take three nights launching three's. he will avg. again 17ppg. that is not that bad for a power offense that is based in the paint.
