Michael Jackson just exploded in his pants.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I think what oohah was trying to say was right. It's not the end of the world. Worse things have happened to the Knicks (like the Jerome James signing).

Thank you for putting that in perspective.

***

I think Isiah needs to remedy this error and sign a pure shooter. I believe Steve Henson is floating around...sign him up!

Or Brent Price...where he at? Sign him up!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Nobody is suggesting that this is the end of the world on it's own. The point is that it's just a continuation of the poor management by Isiah that has put us in this postition.

The deadweight and the redundant players on the roster cost the Knicks a young player with a skill that they desperately need and a 2nd rd pick next year. Yet another asset wasted for nothing.

Brilliant.

Anyone who defends this is an idiot and a homer. Period.

Fred Jones? Jerome James? Malik Rose? Give me a break.

That could be a worse trio than Travis Knight, Felton Spencer and Rick Brunson.

Isiah is in win now mode. The thing that really is bad is he is making decisions that must pan out in the next 25 games and not caring about the future that will no include him.

So buh bye Nicols. Isiahs best legacy is for him to go away and then bath in the glory of his rookies maturation long after he is gone. Kind of like Layden was for drafting Stockton and Malone.

I guess when the team goe off to a good start and JJ1 can log his 7 min a game in back up of Morris after injuries to eddy we can really be grateful he did not get bought out!

Hollywood Squares

I thought the trio was Travis Knight, Felton Spencer and Slavko Vranes

Solace - I'll take Eddy Curry, Randolph Morris and David Lee up front, to block for $200.

Rick Brunson played the point well. He simply had no jumper to rely on.

$11.6 may have played a part here...

I've been on record as supportive of Isiah as GM and coach, but I am not a supporter of cutting Nichols, as I have also stated here and on the NY Times replacement forum.

I thought the same thing djsu suggested, that the $11.6 million might be in effect (although they are appealing), but clearly the $18.6 million that is James' salary over the next 3 seasons is a lot to pay for Nichols. Of course, my view is that James has barely been able to play since we signed him, is now facing a knee problem, along with his weight/out-of-shape problem, which combined causes me to wonder of the prospects of him even playing again on a reasonable level. Then add in that Nichols may be someone that other NBA teams may covet, has skills we could use down the road, and could come back to haunt us.

Many upset fans are clearly somewhat motivated by fear that this move will come back to haunt us, and I will admit that's true. We've been burnt before which surely weighs into the equation, but I'm not obsessed with the past times we've been burnt as much as the poor management of some signings and seeing other players that are much cheaper being of use, or assets to hold being given away after we made trades to get them, and demonstrating good potential.

Even from a pure value stand point this is stupid.
JJ is complete dead weight. Cut him or not and he's gonna get paid, and not produce.
NO ONE will trade for him. He's valueless.
However, cut him and sign DNic, and you have a tradable asset, even if you don't need him here.

I don't like it. I felt that with JJ being injured it should've put the cap on what is clearly a losing proposition. James is a bad move that actually got WORSE, which I didn't think was possible. When isiah 1st got him I was hoping for Hunter and ZaZa, since I felt we had a chance to get both players in stead of spending the entire MLE on James. Still I supported the idea of the move, since we needed a center. Now that James have proven that he's got no pride and will likely never give us anything, WHY keep him? Consider it a loss and take a kid who wants to play and fills a need.

Maybe DNic isn't likely to play unless there are a lot of injuries, but under what circumstances will James ever make sense to play? He can't stay on the floor. We're better off playing Morris.
Look it's not the end of the world, it's just that I'd rather have kept DNic and let James go. Bad move Isiah.

I should be able to sue dolan & isiah. I now want my team to loose every game. I want the knicks to start the season 0 & 20 because that might get this scumbag the **** out of here.

i'm a full blown hater now- its like road rage- but worse because I want something I love to suffer.

Bad move. I see VDesai's point that they expected him to go to Europe, but I think they should have eaten a bad contract to keep him or cut Fred Jones.

That's the way I felt almost 4 years ago.
