Getting back to the original thread topic, has anyone found any similarities between Fred Jones and Steve Francis?

Both are overpaid has beens, washed up and don't belong in the league.

But somehow Isiah has some kind of perverse relationship with them.

It is much easier to pick up a good defensive player (I am not ready to call Jones a stopper, I think he has been a disappointment) than a shooter. See Bruce Bowen. Guys who can't shoot have to play tough 'D' to have a chance. When Isiah drafted Jones he was supposed to take Reggie Miller's place. He obviously didn't. Isiah is teaching Nichols a lesson, trying to up Jones trade value, and if he has to keep him he will try to prove that drafting him with the fourteenth pick wasn't a mistake.

a glimmer of hope- that isiah is talking up freddy just to pump his value in a trade.

but, I've seen this before- only to be disappointed.

You want ankles broken? You want the Knicks doin' the breakin'?

Then you're a fan.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

If you watch that video again it looks like Jones was trying to draw a charge by flopping. In no way did Kobe break his ankles.

Zeke is too loyal, no he's too disloyal...he cares nothing about defense, he cares too much about defense...he is bringing in too many young, undisciplined, and overly athletic players: we need solid role players... why is he giving any consideration to this defensive-minded role player?

Damn, can ya'll give me a schizophrenic handbook or something? I cant keep up.

This is what it comes down to with this team. We are a post up half court team. We are to punish other teams down low with our scoring. We get other teams into foul trouble down there and we control the boards. When teams realize this they will double down on Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph. That is when they throw a pass out to our shooters or cutters. Now the better teams will clog the lane so we cannot cut. The option that is left for us is the three point shot. Here are our 3 point shooters:

Jamal Crawford (on a good day, surely you all remember those long 2-15, 3-11, and 2-20 nights)
Stephon Marbury (on a good day, see above)
Quentin Richardson (on a good day, surely you all remember his back spasm black pin stripe suit he wore last year)

Watching the games last year, it pretty much came down to, if Jamal was not hitting his shots then we would not win the game.

This year we might have a three point shooter in Chandler, oh by the way Nichols was a better shooter than him in college. We also got Houston, I think he has the same color suit as Quentin in his closet.

Now bare with me as this may be a LITTLE BIT of a stretch, but is it possible, just possible, that we might need another good shooter... just in case?

What do you think? Am I going to far??
