Curry: I don't have any personal goals. Honestly, it's all about the team. I will adapt any way I can and however I have to in order to make the playoffs.
The best scenario is when you have personal goals that help your team. Not having any personal goals is shocking actually.

I agree. It indicates apathy. Hmm... a Knicks player with apathy. Maybe this result isn't so surprising after all.

First you guys call him a stat whore. Then, when he says he'll adapt in any way he can to help the team, you say he's apathetic. Let's face it. No matter what he says, you'll find fault with it.

A stat whore? No. His stats would be better if he was a stat whore. He's not good enough to be a stat whore. He just drops the ball in from within 5 feet of the basket. His talents begin and end there. He can't rebound, can't pass, can't shoot free throws, can't defend worth a lick.

But wait he's in great condition because he plays both ends of the floor. He doesn't save his breath on the defensive end like other players who are out of shape do.

Zach saying he's in "ok shape" is not the same as admitting he's out of shape. This is not to say he is "in shape" but you are taking liberties that involve misrepresenting his words with your paraphrasing.

Being in anything less than top shape is out of shape for the NBA.

Not to start the season. That's one of the reasons there is training camp for a few weeks, and some players take time to get themselves in game shape once the season starts.

I thought they were supposed to be productive over the off-season. My bad. I wonder if Ben Wallace shows up out of shape, figuring that he can work his way into shape

Guys have different body types. If Lee is 2 inchs shorter and 250 pounds and skinny as a rail Jeffries is 240 pounds there is no reason to reasonably expect Curry to be at 260 pounds. Thats just not his build. My guess is right now he is around 275-280. Currys arms looked more toned than David Lees in yesterdays picture. Currys 1 arm looks to be about twice the size of Zachs arms. If you watch the Knicks videos or see closeups of Currys face you can see he has toned up.
Curry is a big man with a big build. Shaq is probably around 330-340 pounds. Nobody expects Shaq to be at 260 pounds.

So Zach is out of shape and probably about 260lbs, Curry has double the arms he has, his chest, mid section, and legs are bigger than Zach but he's only 15lbs heavier than him? OK GOTCHA!

dont forget his breasts, they are twice as large as well. i would put curry at a vuluptous D cup.

Nothing will satisfy you.
Having a season where we win at least 40 games would be a great start. How many decades has it been since that happened?! Until then no players get the benefit of the doubt. I get the impression that *anything and everything* will satisfy some people here.

You really don't think this team is gonna win at least 40 this year? No one is satisfied with the losing, but you have to dig deeper than the win/loss record when you have a team that is being rebuilt on the fly or just plain rebuilt in a traditional sense. For some reason their are a lot of Knick fans that don't want to accept that we've been rebuilding and as such the wins may not come right away. We've had some setbacks but you've got to be realistic.

This current team has been under construction for 2 fulls seasons and this is the 3rd year of the "retooling". The LB yr we know was lost and last year there was only modest improvement. You can't keep adding up all the other seasons in relation to this group, cuz it's not the same group. Most of these guys just got here. So let's see how they do this year. I think we're gonna be happy with this team from here on out.

How would your outlook change if the team goes below .500 again?

Is this an aging team with no future? NO!!! So while it would be VERY disappointing and i'd be upset, I still feel this team is headed in the right direction. The thing is tho, that I don't see this team not being above .500. I've been watching BB and pro sports in general for 30 years and I've seen teams grow from the stage this team has been at into winning teams. If you can't scout a teams potential, then sure I could see feeling like some of the pessimists. That's not the case with me tho. I can see how this team has a chance to succeed with the talent we have on board. It's really only a matter of time before it all comes together.

Do you think we've seen the best of Lee, Curry or many of the other young players on this team? I don't. We've only seen many of these young guys as sophmores and rookies. Even the vets like Steph, Jamal, Q and Jared can play better than they did last year. If Zach is anywhere near what he's been this team is gonna be one of the better teams IMO.
