Jared Jeffries must be a pretty good player since he can do so many things. Defend, pass, rebound, block shots, dunk, steals, etc. Not 1 dimensional at all.

Yes being dominant in one area beats being good in several areas often.

Fat Lever used to be a threat for a triple double many nights but he was never a dominant player. Often a master of one trade is more dominant than a jack of many trades that masters none

I contest the notion that Jared Jeffries is good at anything. He's terrible in most areas of the game. His defense is the most overrated in league history.

I'm really amazed at how little TrueBlue adds to a thread after posting so much!

That comment would fit Nixluva and Earle much better. Trueblue is a good poster. He actually uses *evidence* for his arguments.

There is evidence that 911 was an inside job. So the country re- elects bush, etc.

The knicks suck. Don't need evidence if you watch games and we all do. So proving that the knicks suck if completely retarded. Patting yourself on the back for it is juvenile. Ganging up on a guy for being optimistic is equally stupid.

When the hell does the season start? Its smelly pretty pissy round here.

I can't expect Curry to be a great shotblocker. Thats a skill you either have it or you don't. For Curry to be a top 5 center in this league he needs to rebound the ball at 10rips a game. Turn the ball over less & develop a better understanding of when to pass out of the post, who to pass it to, how to creat open looks for his teammates, and a willingness to want to create shots for his teammates out of the post and make them pay for doubling & tripling him.

Watching Shaq play in the post and you can tell he has great awarness of whats going on around him when he is posting someone up.

TFK, I understand why you're saying that Curry is the better player than Camby, but let me point out, that just because you're a center, does not mean you have to have a post up game. It's absolutely a luxary, but everyone has a different game, and Camby brings a much higher impact to the game than Curry does. If this wasn't the case, then Curry would have helped bring our "Talented" Knicks squad deep into the playoffs.

ANd yes, Camby absolutely does have an offensive game. It's about average, but he's a very smart offensive player.

ANd I would say his SUPERIOR defensive play far outweighs Curry's 1 dimensional post up game, but I guess that's something you and I will agree to disagree on.

yea, we may never agree on this, but Curry is as superior offensively to camby as he is inferior defensively.

Camby does not have any offense, put back shots, and the occasional jumper that sometimes finds it's way to the side of the backboard is not offense. I am sorry...

sorry dude, that comment made no sense.. I guess we can now poo poo on elton brand for not bringing the "Talented" clippers deep into the playoffs. But hey let me beat you to the punch, you are now going to tell me how tough the western confrence is now.... right?

My point was, Curry has never made a contribution towards a playoff team, and our team has all the talent in the world, and he hasn't shown any results yet. Camby has had huge roles in many playoff victories and series wins. That is why, if I had a team to pick, for today, I'm picking Camby. For 5 years down the road, Curry, but that's just because Camby is old.

Which btw, this isn't Curry hate. I'd choose Curry over most centers as I showed in my first post. I just think Camby is a more important player, unless you already have a huge defensive presence in your frontcourt.

I would probably put Curry at #10 in the list. Not being a hater, but many of these other guys possess skills that Curry doesn't, other than scoring. I think Curry has the potential to get to #1 on that list. All he has to do is want to be that good.

Okur was an all-star center on a 50 win team. You CAN'T rank him below Eddy.

Agreed.

Right, if curry got the ball enough, and shot at least 79% from the ft line he would average something like 26ppg and that would clearly put him in the all star game despite his other downfalls

Maybe, but he doesn't. So why argue over something that isn't happening?

I think Curry played a huge role in the Bulls getting to the playoffs in 2005. He was their leading scorer and 37-26 in games he played while only 10-9 in games he missed.

I like Marcus a lot. He is one of my all time favorite players but he has never been out of the first round with the exception of his first 2 years as a Knick and he was only playing 24-25mpg back then
