Man, I'm so stupid! That went totally over my head. I thought she meant she had a house & was in a LTR with (presumably) another guy.

Same here Jones.

What's so bad about having a house? I thought that would be a good thing.
At least you have your sh!t together... maybe.
And it's probably worth more than what you paid for it, unless you live in Florida.
What's the problem?

I guess one of the new criteria involved with dating is your Credit Score.

You can have a mortgage and have a great credit score.
In fact, if you are good about your payments, it will up your score.

Well its not like you all say. It was one night, nothing dirty, just conversation. Im committed for 10 years with a mortgage, but he just made me rethink some choices in my life. He was a nice guy. He has my number, but would you call a girl in a ten year relationship with a house? I wouldn't. I just wanted to thank him :) Though thanks for the laughs!!!

Saramae, please stay & become a member of this community. I think you add a nice fresh naïveté to an otherwise jaded & bleak UK world.

P.S. - if you ever leave your "mortgage" you can move to Long Island where there are lots of nice boys & a pretty swell hockey team.

If you meant that, thank you. If you were sarcastic, I'll do to you what Bip does to 5 feet and under chicks on the bball courts, the next time we have a game.

So a female with her own house is a bad thing? In my opinion that's a good thing cuz most women are looking for a hand out anyway. I love a chic that thinks she can't get a man cuz she has her own ****.

Guys, I think she's saying she has bad credit and a lot of debt, as was said earlier, which is a significant thing. The fact that she has a house that she probably owns 20% of is not the issue.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

So tell me "What does Bip do to 5' & under chickes on the basketball court?". It sounds like what I used to try to do to chicks on the 50yard line in the middle of the night & if thats the case I'll have to say that in no way was trying to disparage the good folks of Suffolk county or that Hockey club w/that manly fisherman on their jersey.

Na, he always says he likes to swat the shots of little girls when he plays basketball with them. haha

I'm actually from Nassau county though, but live basically 5 minutes from the boarder.

I must say I quite enjoy reading this :) I actually am a professional with a good job with benefits and put down a pretty hefty down payment with the house LOL. And for enquiring minds, a boy does come with that package. You guys must think I am a bit crazy, though I can't seem to get this guy out of my head. I think Vegas through me for a loop. P.S. I like the comment about becoming a Knicks fan suddenly. I was born in NY :)

Sara my sweet Sara,

That was my post about joining & becoming a fan & other than the small obstacle that i am married already I would definitely be the guy for you. In my wild & single days gone by I was always on the look out for a beautiful professional woman w/a home & good credit score. The fact that you would be willing to watch Knicks games on our 102" plasma screen in our new McMansion makes you hot beyond belief. Good Luck w/this mike guy butI can guarantee that he's only a third of the man that I am

See what Isiah has done to this franchise? Things have gotten so bad that Dolan has to send scouts to Vegas to try and hit on the ladies and make them fans since Isiah ran away most of them

Glad to see you're still sticking around, who knows maybe that dude will show up!

Obviously, she means her son.
I think she would say "a man" instead of "a boy." No woman would describe her significant other as a boy unless she was interested. e.g. "Damn, _______ acts just like a little boy sometimes! But BasketballJones, you're a real man."

On the other hand she would describe her significant other to her girlfriends or mother as "a boy." without hesitation. e.g. "I can't believe ________ went out drinking with his friends again. We were suppose to talk about __________ and _______. I don't know why I am wasting my time with him. He is such a little boy, who will never grow up."
