Its pretty amazing how visceral the response is against Isiah, and from the other side, for some kind of hope for potential.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Knicks fan base is like a water pot on a stove. Apply no fuel, and the water remains still, frozen. Stiff like Scot Layden. Strike a flame and watch the water bubble and rise. Steam starts coming up as the passionate responses start to flow, bubbling here, percolating there. We are the candle-burning fans of the New York Knicks. Caution - contents are extremely hot.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

PhillinLA - it doesn't hurt to see a dude bust a mid-range jumper either.

Watching Wilson Chandler gain confidence could be a thing of beauty

Renaldo changes things without needing the ball in his hands

Nichols has a nice stroke.

Bonus Rookie Randolph had a nifty double-double.

They shared the ball and even won a game. I don't care if it's half-court three-on-three or game six of the conference finals. Winning is a good habit.

Life don't suck that bad

After the last two regular season flops, fans are fiending for something positive, some will be more optomistic than others.

Last night it was refreshing watching the knicks youngsters run up and down and play fairly well.

Now what I would love to see is our Knicks play the Pistons, both Joe Dumars and Isiah picked up some young gems(Stuckey-Chandler-Maxeil-Nichols) who seem to shine even before they have reached the surface.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

This is basically our extended bench playing, and the first thing that jumps out at you is that they played great D and hustled.

Last year we had a couple of defensive stoppers, Q and Balkman, now we have Chandler, and Morris looks good too.

I don't care if Chandler scores 50tonight, he was a terrible pick at 23.........

I don't know. He wasn't the guy I would have picked, but his skill set shows he was a good value pick. He plays good d, he's very athletic, has a decent shot and has a good attitude. I would have rather have gone for one of the pure shooters because of our need in that area. So I don't think he was the best choice, but he certainly wasn't a terrible pick - not even close.

That statement pretty much sums up the mindstate of some posters. Some posters have thier minds made up that Isiah/Dolan will never pull this franchise from the grave, thus any deceant to good move will be looked at as terrible because of who made the move.

Answer me this, If Gilbert Arenas was taken 20th in his draft, would it still have been a bad pick by the team that picked him 20 when they could have waited and grabbed him in the second round?

Or, What if the team really liked him at 20, but the draft-scouts had him as a 2nd rounder. The team trades out of the first for a 2nd round pick and Arenas gets scooped up before they can pick him. Now that team has two eggs on thier face because not only did Arenas turn out to be way better than a second-rounder or even a 20 pick, the player the team ended up with in the second round is now a D league reserve.

This would make more sense if Gilbert:
Instead of Playing at a top ten college program in Arizona, Gilbert went to mid-major like De paul
Canceled 95 percent of his workouts
Canceled All of his "vs player"
Didn't show up to be measured
Didn't play against opposing players at open camp
Was in a draft with 8-10 players who were considered top 20 picks still on the draft board when he was picked

Terrible way to use a pick....

More I see young NY players playing good more I think - what a waste...
We have bunch of expensive players which will never allow this young guys to develop.
All I see is another Fry's who will be buried behind Marbs, Eddy, Zack, Jeffries, Craf and will never get a light. Lee, Balk, Mardy, and may be Morris are bound to the bench. Others will never play except junk time. So what the point?

Haven't our young players played a ton the last couple of years?

I mean yeah, if you want to based your argument on facts. But it sounded like a good point.

Isiah bent over backwards to give Frye time that he did not deserve. Frye played over 26mpg last season despite being near invisable often.

Randolph Morris for nothing =Great move

Wilson Chandler at #23= Very nice pick

Demetrius Nichols in the 2nd round= Potential steal of the draft

let's calm down until we see these guys play a stretch of games at the NBA level... i'm sure you'd be labelling anyone as a blind hater for calling those guys busts if they'd had a bad game the other night.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

We went through this same thing last year. What does it matter? The bottom line is can Chandler play. If this guy turns into the next Richard Jefferson or Shawn Marion, I don't care who else we could have traded down for. IT thought the guy was the best prospect available and did not want to risk losing him. If he turns out to be the best player that was available, why are you harping on the fact that you assume he should have been a second round pick? What if someone else did take him in the latter part of the first round? I mean the guy did work out for other teams. The mock drafts don't mean s**t and guys get taken earlier than expected all the time. From what I saw last night, I don't think it is too much of a leap to believe that some other team thought this guy was 1st round material.

I am happy with Balkman and Collins. I am going to give IT the benefit of the doubt and see if I will be happy with Chandler and Nichols this time next year. I can already tell you I am happy with the Nichols trade. Chandler remains a question mark.

What I look for is the skills and BB IQ. The level of comp is low and the format is so loose. I know from game to game a player can be off with his shot like Durant, but even with him you could clearly see his speed and quickness, his sharp and polished moves on O. You could also see that he's gonna really need to get stronger and finish developing his all around game. With Chandler you could see he has an NBA body, athletic and long, quick reflexes and what most surprised me was his handle. I didn't expect him to look so comfortable dribbling the ball and just making moves out there. His shooting and passing looked good and natural for him. Nice form. He was aggressive on D and looked like a solid player.

Nichols also was impressive. He looked like a guy that new what he could do and was confident. He also had a better handle then we were led to believe and I think he'll be a good defender as well.

Morris I actually expected to be better on offense, but he surprised me on the boards. The book on him was that he wasn't aggressive enough on the boards. He looked like a guy that wanted the ball. I knew he was strong and had a good base. I hope he can loosen up and move like I saw him move in college. He's actually quite agile. I was shocked to see that he's not as big as they have been saying. Neither was Chndler. I don't believe he's 6-8. He looks like he's about 6-6, still they were effective. I can't wait to see these guys against real competition. It's hard to really guage in these games.

First of all at which position he played - like PF/SF?
And how much will he played if it will be less injuries?
IT is bi-polar. half brain is for youth/rebuilt another half sturpunching/reclamation projects.
This never works. No focus - no result.

Allow me to clue you in on how it works.

First you do something worthy of credit, and then you receive credit.
