COSSUCKS, here you go:

I am proud Eddy is working out hard this Summer, or so I'm happy that's what the reports are. However, I will be even more proud that he'll be in shape to play both ends of the floor for a full NBA season, starting the beginning of November (Or end of October.) Until then, to me, it's just teasing hype that I don't get excited about.

Same thing with Nate Robinson. I am happy he is claiming he is working on being a calmer player. I am rooting for him hard as hell b/c he was always one of my favorite players. But until he shows at the beginning of the season until his career ends, that he can do that, then it's just hype to me.

COSSUCKS, what I'm really trying to say is, this is the Knicks offseason and it's also mine. I don't care. I EXPECT them to be in shape this Summer, b/c they are getting paid for that, and they are on my team, and they represent the Knicks and the state of NY. I will be SHOCKED if he doesn't hit that expectation and I will be bashing the crap out of him if he's too out of shape to play defense and rebound, and I don't care how good his offense is. And I will be bashing the crap outta Nate if he's not backing up what people are saying what he's doing. Same with all of the other players. This is their job and their life. Being in shape should be the least of our worries.

Thats fine but why is Curry bashed because Qrich says he has been working out hard and that the big fella is ready? Is this now a bad thing?

Nobody's overly excited. Its just good to hear. But of course, when someone posts something positive about Curry, in come the twinkie jokes, or, it took him long enough to finally work out or, he's working out but....It just doesn't end.

CUZ HE'S A FAT BASTARD!
You don't hear the same things said about other players except JJ (and formerly MoT).

Where R the overly excited people?

[Edited by - bigbeast on 10-07-2007 1:10 PM]

Can't you just picture bigbeast shaking uncontrollably while attempting, and failing, to suppress a huge smile while typing this?

I'd like him to answer....."WHY WAS THIS THREAD EVEN CREATED"?

It should be a given right bigbeast?

Exactly! When somebody posts that somebody on RealGM has a friend who's cousin's god brother
saw Eddie in Home Depot (not the gym mind you) with some guy (who might have been a trainer, but there
was no evidence to this except he's white with tats (huh?!)) seems to me that he's pretty excited about
Eddie's phenomenally successful summer.

[Edited by - panos on 10-07-2007 1:20 PM]

Forget someone's cousins, uncle's brother, Q said Curry was working out. Is that not a more reliable source?

I was giving you an example of someone that was excited. Isn't that what you asked for?
In the words of Alan Greenspan: "Irrational exuberance"

Bulls fan here, I seen Eddy Curry last weekend at home depot in Country Side, IL..

He does not look out of shape at all. He was with some fit/buff white guy with a gang of tattoo's I'm not sure if he's just a friend or a personal trainer, I would assume the later. Curry by the way looked really lean, and it kind of shocked me because I thought he would be fat as hell in person. He actually might be in the best shape of his career this comming season.

First off,, I still fail to see the excitement in that post. Second, its a bulls fan which defeats the point you made about our fans getting overly excited.

Better yet, why would Curry's teammate think it was necessary to point out that Eddy was "already" in the gym?

And why would Curry's teammate express surprise that Curry was working out?

He was asked if he had spoken with Curry lately. Why shouldnt he say what he said?
Do you look for some hidden negative in everything related to the Knicks?

I think it's because how suprised Richardson was and when he followed it up by saying "Finally nobody had to tell Curry to hit the gym" or something along the lines of that.

Curry's work ethic is horrific, he does an interview while eating chicken alfredo instead of hitting the gym early as all the other Knicks.

^You're right up there with the Misterearls, nixluva's, Oohahs and Holffresh's of the world. Please actually read the content of our posts. We're not bashing Curry. We're glad he's in the gym. We're bashing that it's taken this long for him to get there (If this really was his first day, I don't know though) and I'M bashing just about everyone who gets excited about this shizat. Do Yankee fans get ansy to see what Melky and Cano and Wang are doing in the offseason? Absolutely NOT!

Oh I'm reading it well and I too he's finally in the gym and I too am bashing why it took 2 months after his season ended to start hitting the gym where guys like Balkman, Lee, Robinson, etc. started doing it the first week of June.

btw, what do the Yankees have anything to do with this??

Nobody said it was Currys first day in the gym. Where did you get that from?

Yes some Yankee fans so like to hear that some Yankee players are doing well in winter ball.

Anyway continue on. I'm going to concentrate on 3 Knicks rookies that looked very good instead.

Qrich was talking about years in the past. Not this year nor last year. So now you want to bash the guy over years before he was even a Knick?

Oh gawd, he was talking about this summer that Curry finally decided to work out by himself without anyone telling him too.

Good for Curry, maybe after 6 years he finally got it, it does happen you know.

Great source. The NY media hasnt reported that Curry is working out in Chicago so it must not be happening?

News flash the NY Media didnt know anything any quicker than we did. We all heard from Qrich.

Do you think the NY media is stalking Currys Chicago house 24/7?

Q: Eddy is in the gym, working hard
