The knicks lost the trade plain and simple

06 Bradon Roye, Ty Thomas, Randy Foye Rudy Gay
07 Al Thorton, Julian Wright, AC Law, Noah

And had it not been for Curry's miracle tip againts the bobcats we were picking sixth. Our wins haven't increased and we have a long term commitments instead of actually building something. We have contract that no one will take in curry, richardson, and crawford most likely.

Wright now you have to look at our roster and say we are not winning anything anytime soon and we are a fringe player team. We gave the bulls cap room and if they wanted could have landed a player like Rashard Lewis to go with Thomas and Noah and guess what they are probably going to make a trade, which we could have made.

We might not even get the 8th seed at this point the Bulls are the conference favorite. And Theobo is a lockdown defender. Balkman is not part of the deal, so don't include him. We just made another shacky pick much like Frye, and Nate that should have been Granger/Bynum and Jack. We let Almond slip through the cracks when he is just what we needed because isiah thinks he is smarter than everyone......

Wow is that speculation to the 10th degree?
How about stepping in to reality?
Teams dont get to draft every player in every draft.

They get to choose ONE SINGLE player in that draft and they dont do it in hindsight either.

The Bulls ended up with Ty Thomas and Jokim Noah from the trade.

The Knicks ended up with Eddy Curry and Wilson Chandler.

Thats reality.

Jesus, what is with Knick fans trying to give Isiah the benefit the doubt here?

The trade was no more than this:

Tim Thomas, Mike Sweetney, Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas, 2 2nd Rounders

for

Antonio Davis, Eddy Curry, Wilson Chandler

If you're gonna count Balkman (like he even matters), then you have to account for the cap space Chi got re: Ben Wallace, or the trade the Bulls made ala Aldridge for Tyrus and the pick that became that Khyrpya guy.

Aka STFU Newday or BabyKnicks or whoever.

The trade sucked.......OBVIOUSLY.

The Bulls gained like 2 mill in cap space in that deal. Wallace signed for 16 mill last year

Actually it was more like $3.5mil and Ben's deal was frontloaded.

No It was like 2mill in cap room (The difference in Sweets actual salary and Currys previous salary hold on the cap)and Bens deal was 16 mill in the first year. Thats what counted towards their cap last year when they needed to sign him.
Anyway I'm glad Isiah dumped 32 year old Ben Wallaces 4 year 60mill contract on your Bulls. Shows even more that Isiah got the better end of the deal. BTW your Bulls are going to suck this year. Look for amax of 44 wins.

The trade still sucks. We gave up the chance at Brandon Roy (it doesn't matter who the Bulls picked) and Noah when we could have waited to get a comparably effective (superior IMO) player in Zach for peanuts, saved I think about $50 mil in salary, and kept or subsequently traded 2 2nd rd picks.

Where is the speculation. We need a good wing player there was one there, we needed a shot blocker there was one there. So we could have taken 4 potential great players and done the same this season, but we have eddy curry to show for it. Who does one thing extremely well and is near the worst in the nba at everything else for his position.

We don't have a go too scorer in the backcourt, we don't have a guy that can defend either, essentially we could have had shane battier if we wanted him for our pick.

What is hindsight? You draft a kid that is notriously soft and grabs 7rbs in a guard dominated conference and a midgit with athletic ability and an attitude problem, trade for the nba's biggest head case at his position who creates problems for everyone, you bring in a center that cashes in on a contract and has weight issues and give him a long term deal, you bid against yourself for crawford......or you allow the suns to take as many picks as they want when you are clearling them of 90 million dollars

Actually how about a little forsight to do your job and evaluate the garbage ****ty talent he has importated....
