Oh yeah Lil Wayne DOES NOT write his own rhymes. Jay-Z writes for him.

You are out your mind. Lil Wayne was in the rap game BEFORE Jay was.

Dude been rapping since he was like 8 years old.

You crazy for this one. Lil Wayne is my age (25). J is close to 40 and has been rapping long before his album Reasonable Doubt debuted in 96. J actually lived the life he raps about, I think weezie is rapping about someone else's life. None the less, I like his style, but I'm not giving him the thrown like you are.

I am not sure I can pick a hip hop song of the summer. I don't think a single song has come out where it just makes you jump and say "Yoooo"

T.I comes close with some of his tracks but nothing yet, it's mostly a bunch of r&b collaborations that are toping the charts.

I like the NE-Yo /Fab track, nice beat and melody.

Looking at my Itunes library, most of my music albums are from the mid 90s to 2000.

That **** Jay rapped before Reasonable DOubt was some grabage demo-type ****. Who you foolin' dawg? Huh? I aint beat.

Lil Wayne is the hottest thang in the hip hop industry whether you like it or not. Jay Z is washed up. Had it not been for the death of 2Pac and Biggie, Jay Z would have never rose to stardom.

Regardless of what you are saying, Jay is not hot on the streets anymore.

THIS IS HOTTER THAN JULY, CALI IS ACTIVE

This song was/and still is hot. I can't believe it received less than moderate love. Karrupt if he was marketed right through his career could have been one of the Top 20 emcees in the game. Flat out hot song and was just bumping it for a like a straight week 2weeks ago.

When you're on here arguing how hot Lil Wayne is in the rap game I think it speaks volume how wack the game is. Is Wayne good, yeah I like him but sorry the game is almost pure trash at this point, there's nothing to compare to right now, there's no standard just a bunch of beats no substance. I understand you're trying to rep your current generation and your passion for it but you've veered way off the road on this subject justifying what you feel is authentic and hot.

Tru, I feel what you are saying. But you, as an intelligent man, should know that you can never comepare the current to any old and expect the current to be better.

The 90s were better than the 2000s in the NBA
Your mom doesn't cook like your grandmom
Your first girl is always going to be better than any female afterwards

You get my drift.

Now, use your God-given brain and understand that you are not being fair if you are comparing the streets today to the streets of yesteryear. In fact, I heard someone say the weed aint like it was in the 70s. What type of mess is that?

I could keep screaming Jay wasn't nothing comapred to Pac and Biggie. You know.

But as far as the rap game is concerned here and now, Lil Wayne is the hottest of them all. Check out his music. Listen to his lyrics. Dude is hot. And he aint talking about that BS Jay Z is STILL talking about 11 years later.

On this topic you can because there haven't been rule changes, salary cap modifications, changes in lottery systems, changing the court paremeters, etc etc that has changed the league since it's inception. It made it difficult to compare eras. Although you can still compare to adegree. In rap it's been the same, if the record industry think you will sell, you'll get a deal period no matter who you are and you can rap just about anything. Rap is redundant today and very fake. Most rappers back in the day got on the mic and spit lyrics. It was a relationship between them and the mic. Many of them had far less engineering, technology, and budget at their disposal. So when you listened you hears straight vocals, it was more raw and off the top. Yet this was the time when Rap was about at it's best. It's very comparable to when Jordan left the league along with a few other greats and you have fans on here trying to argue how great T-Mac and Vince Carter are. Feeling they hold the league down just as well in any other era. Even James as good as he is couldn't get the viewers to tune in during the Finals. Why? It's the same in the rap game, no matter how hot you think Wayne is or anyone else for the matter, they aren't when a bar has been set and established. If the Jordan era took basketball to a different level then another era can do the same, unfortunately we just aren't seeing it.

If you want to nutride Wayne go ahead but there are plenty 30-35yr olds laughing at your 25yr old self.
