Boy Stern is such a bastard, he sounds annoyed, frustrated and he is being a smart ass and dan patrick is trying to be as respectful as possible but he is losing his cool it seems.

some excerpts:

DP: Do you think there should be some interpretation to the rule when something like this happens, especially considering the players the suns lost and the one the spurs lost..

Stern: Yea I guess we need to put that in the memo, that if it is a star player as opposed to a scrub then we need to adjust the rules.

Then stern goes on to tell patrick he is only going to wrestle with him on this because he is an opinion maker. He then goes on to say " I guess we need to ignore the rule so we that we can let the best players play regardless if they break the rule or not, so we can get the most fans to watch and fill our pockets with money"....

LOL.. what a got damn hypocrite!!!!!

I can't believe he really said those things. I'm going to see if I can find it on UTube. I was wrong when I said the Knicks have to get rid of Dolan and Thomas. We also' have to get rid of Stern. This guy has become such a pain. I'm still having trouble thinking he would say those things. He actually said those things?
I'll never trust this' team again.

If Michael Jordan had done something similar, Stern would have interpreted the "vicinity of the bench" as the entire damn arena.

Man' you ain't lying brother!!!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Rules are rules. Without the rules, there is no sport. If you don't stay within the rules, you don't play the game.
rything.

There's a huge difference between stepping over the line a few feet, to see if your guy is okay vs. running out there like a mad man swigging. Yes' a rule is a rule, but the whole world can see how rediculous that was! Just plain stupid. Something the NBA couldv'e just turned away from, but like good conservatives, a rule is a rule. Talk about nit picking! Next they'll start suspending people if they don't have the right look on they're faces, if you don't stand up to this kind of rule right now! Screw the rule! It's about the principle here. An entire season, an actual chance for an NBA championship has been taken away for something so small and insignificant! It's so stupid. Stern's a dork!

Hey, I'm not a big Suns fan or anything like that, but if that happened to us (and it has) we'd be all over it.

Here's one of the videos. Looks like they were a little more agressive on the side lines than the media let on, so yeah, maybe they can justify the suspensions. I still say it's debatable. They both looked like they were headed over there before they were forced back physically by the coaches (almost looks a little funny), but it was' next to they're bench also, so it's not like the both of them rans across the court or down the court. They show it in the last 1-1/2 minutes. There's also good side view of Nash getting hit. Horry and others said he was flopping. As you will see, it was a pretty good hit, and then he flopped after he hit the table. But a legit hit.

I know we aren't really supposed to talk about other NBA stuff on the knicks board, but it concerns all teams and the Knicks as well. They even sight the Knick-Miami series in the video. Speaking of the announcers (not sure who they are), you'd almost think that his exact analysis of the possible suspensions set in motion the suspensions. He describes it to a tee and it happens exactly the way he said it would. Goes to show you that you have to try and speak well of the state of the Knicks here. You never know who's watching.

I'll never trust this' team again.
