oh, and bonn (who is becoming more an more unbearable by the post) the reason the vote doesn't match the number of arguers (sp) is that you knick haters are fools.

and a wise man said not to argue with fools, because people at a distance can't tell who is who.

you posted a poll, and like other attempts to bash the home team, the vote comes out for the home team.

if some of you guys that posted here actually liked the knicks And/or rooted for them, the vote would have been a landslide.

as it stands, we just have to tolerate your lack of basketball knowledge and out and out hate of the knicks.

let me be one of the first to bring back the term gay robot.

gay robot.
I love the Knicks. You DON'T love the Knicks. You love ISIAH. Sorry to put it so harshly.

The Bulls are 5-3 in this year's playoffs. Have Dolan's Knicks even won that many playoff games this decade? Will they win that many over the rest of the decade? I doubt the answer is yes to either question

Yeah, they won more than five. You forgot about the Spreewell run, all the way to the finals.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Bonn if your talking about this' decade, the one that isn't over yet, then the answer is moot and so is the question.
I'll never trust this' team again.

during the ewing/jordan era, the knicks lost to the bulls in 1989 (in 6), 1991 (in 3), 1992 (in 7), 1993 (in 6), and 1996 (in 5).

the lone playoff series we won was 1994 (in 7) without jordan.

so it's been 11 seasons since the knicks/bulls have played in any meaningful game. it's been 9 seasons since jordan, pippen, and phil were part of the bulls.

the bulls/knicks rivalry (in reality, the rivalry was in our own minds), imho, has been dead since 1998.

But the point is 'we never won a thing' right? chicago clobbered us. I never forget things like that. Until we do the same to them, that they did to us, I never forget like some people.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I asked how many they had won so far this decade and predicted that they would win fewer than five the rest of the decade. That covers a ten year span. What's wrong with that? And why can't you put all your replies in one post? You're stooping down to MisterEarl's territory!

the only way you can think we have a brighter future is if you think one of our guys breaks through b/c presently, their youth IS better than ours, their vets ARE better than ours (the wins/losses over the past 2-3 years are an indication of that).

Well it's not so off the wall to think that one or two of our young guys can have a bust out season. Currently Curry, Lee and Frye are still not playing at what I think is their full potential, so there's room for growth. I think that in their 2nd year both Balkman and Collins can be major positives for this team. I also believe that R. Morris is basically another 1st rd pick and one of the better young bigman prospects not named Oden. He's a legit post player. A PF that has some of the tools we need and with some work, just might play a solid role for this team. I think Nate can settle in as a Sparkplug reserve off the bench. He doesn't need a lot of minutes to be effective.

I like the upside of Deng and Sefolosha. Tyrus i'm sure will get better, but I think he's got a lot of work to do in terms of actual skills, other than dunking the ball and blocking some shots. His BB IQ is very low at this point and he has no handle, no shot or any kind of real sustainable offense. If they stay at #9, i'm assuming they'll look to take the best player with size available. Being a fairly deep draft they should get good value. I'm just not sure they'll get a guy at PF or C that can make an impact on offense. This to me leaves them in pretty much the same spot they're currently in. Their best chance is some kind of trade for a stud vet.

The Bulls are currently much better and have far more assets to improve. Case closed.

i never said it was off the wall. moving forward, which team is in a better position to take the next step and try to get into the title picture. players can develop. players can un-develop. players can get traded.

basically the question really comes down to who do you have more faith in as a GM, paxson or isiah?

Damn man what's up with the negativity? Why is it so thick?

Is it possible to make moves anymore? Or did the the knicks get locked out of their offices? Its possible the knicks can make a good move this off-season that would catapult the knicks into the playoff mix.

The knicks lack enough muscle and scoring from the 3 and 4. What if isiah addresses these needs? What if the knicks stay as healthy as some of these playoff teams this year?

Why does the sky always have to be falling?
I say the sky is the limit.

I would say if you go with Pax, the problem seems to be, no one really seems to want to play there. At least the big names don't seem to want to. And if your Thomas (notice I don't call him Zeke anymore) apparently a lot of players would love to play for him, but he locked the money up so good, they don't stand a chance of coming to New York, unless they want to play for free! Not happening!
I'll never trust this' team again.

No one's saying the Knicks won't improve. Heck, go ahead and say the sky's the limit for the Knicks. The problem is just that the sky is higher for the Bulls.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

You get a lot of critical comments when a team has about seven consecutive losing seasons. This shouldn't be shocking.

Care to explain WHY the sky is higher for the Bulls?

It seems that both teams need to continue to grow from within and to make some kind of deal to improve the team and get to the next level. Right now they're ahead of us in terms of team development, but in terms of each teams max potential in terms of the playoffs, I don't see them as having an edge at all. Unless they do something via a trade, I think they'll end up in the same spot next year. I think the Knicks should've been a playoff team this year and I think they will definitely be one next year. On top of that I like their make up for the playoffs. We'll have more balance to our attack and I think we'll improve defensively.
