I think he's saying in comparison to this years version, which is most surely one of the weakest Eastern Conf.
Besides he's right about the success they had when they had Curry and the team was actually much younger. That was a very good showing for such a young Bulls team. I'm sure they would welcome Curry's offense at a time like this. When they were firing up brick after brick, some nice high % post ups would've been nice.
If we're talking Conference and not Division here are the numbers.
Total wins in the Eastern Conference 2004-2005
584Total wins in the Eastern Conference 2006-2007
583Their Division is a little less weak this yr than the previous due to injuries and that's where they cashed in finishing 12-4. Last yr they were 4-12, the yr before 8-8.
